Why do vampires still attack me when I'm a vampire?
Pretty much what the title says. I'm a vampire with the Dawnguard addon, but vampires still attack me. What's going on here?

If you kill Harkon they will be aggressive.

I've only done the dawnguard questline up to the point of becoming a vampire.

Ah well I did look this up on Google and people are saying it's a bug when transforming into a vampire lord in front of the other vampires. So I guess reload a previous save and don't use vampire lord in the castle.

I never did in the castle except for the tutorial. It's no big deal, they're easy enough to kill.

Lorewise, all the vampires not in Harkon's court are feral, and only live for killing others. This is why radiant quests from the Volkihar can involve culling them.

Huh weird did you do anything to aggro them like attack someone or something? I haven't had any weird glitches like that when I was doing the Dawnguard questline.

If you're talking about random vampires, they're just going to be aggressive to you. You're a hostile intruder that's competing with them for blood, and to be honest, most of them are probably hunger-addled and not thinking clearly anyways.

Before I wanted to start the dawnguard dlc I killed a few attacking towns for vampire dust. That might be it. Then again I remember back when dawnguard first game out they didn't attack once I joined them.

Yes, lorewise. I'm not talking about random groups of vamps in caves, I'm talking about the ones that attack towns. They shouldn't be hostile to you once you join with Harkon.

Again, talking about a possible bug.

Why do humans still attack you when you're human? Same exact reasons.

If you are able to sneak out or leave the castle and come back the issue is resolved. At least if you were having the same problem I was.

How do people even find these?
I've only got 2 comments on the discussions and both were necroed recently after at least 2 years.

They have both maxed Conjuration skill and completed Conjuration Ritual Spell quest.
