Dreadful game - poor graphics (at least in events - they obviously spent some time on locations).

Commentary dreadful - boring, very repetitive and and in any way related to what your performance is like (eg. I had three personal bests in high jump, was in the lead and then told I was bitterly disappointed and hadn't reached my potential).

Very few of the events represented and the obvious one (such as boxing) omitted, not only that but very few women's events - except the obviously sexist beach volleyball (where the men are missing).

All in all a poorly thought out series of 'bash a single key as fast as you can' events that
quickly become incredibly tediious.

If you want Olympic excitement sticking your head in a buck of water would be a better approximation tot he water sports.

Seriously disappointing and a complete waste of time and money.

And to add insult to injury you NEED a game pad - this is a port from consoles where absolutely no effort has been made to get useful keyboard and mouse combinations for PC users. Basically if you look at the lettering (not the layout) on an XBOX360 pad they have translated the keyboard keys directly by letter - not by useful position and so so events are almost unplayable with keyboard and mouse.

Why the hell would you wanna play a sports game with a k/b and mouse?,it's 2012 man ,get a pad.It's actually alot of fun in local multiplayer,(although you will nee numerous gamepads :P),and online is good too ,when people are on.

I was playing with a gamepad but I was adding to my comment how truly badly the port was from consoleb to PC if you are restricted to using a keyboard and mouse.

I stand by my opinion of the game even with a game pad. Sorry I just think it is very unispiring to listen to repetitve, insipid commentary whilst just hitting a single button to simulate running or press a single button to make a diver do a somersault. Where is the interest or challenge?

Add to that graphics that look like they came from the early 90s and it is pretty poor.

I am especially interested in kayaking and had a kayaking game years ago that only ran on Windows 98. That was infintely more challenging and much more entertaining than the kayaking in is game and the graphics were better.

I have an xbox controller for windows and it works great with this game, sadly my logitec gamepad wouldn't work with this game

The game is pretty awful but when you got friends, beer and feel like wasting some time doing pointless stuff the whole idea of bashing A to powerlift a weight might be really funny.

j'ai acheter le jeu aujourd'hui je les installer corectement et crée un compte steam sans probleme par contre des que je clique sur l'icone du bureau un rectangle s'ouvre et marquer dedans preparation du jeu et hop il s'efface et plus rien

the game is great.even with keyboard its possible to play just fine, only takes a bit of training.

@killkhan & meatmonster, I haven't played the game but I hope your comments work for me too. I remember (Epyx?) Summer Games on my C64 and Winter Games on my Amiga. Damn damn DAMN fun times back then.

Shame they didn't include boxing though.. that would be unique on the PC. Where are the boxing games on PC? Someone should do one...

btw, this is currently $1.99 on steam

It's obvious these sporting games are nearly always created to 'cash-in' on the televised events.

Olympic based games come out infrequently and they will never achieve the polished feel of the NBA2K/FIFA etc. series that come out annually.

It plays wells, and is great fun in short bursts with a gamepad in local multiplayer- a bit like the old Mario Kart come to think of it. Recommended for multiplayer, single player not so.

Highest rated Olympics game in the genre, tons of events, requires accuracy and rhythm over mindless button mashing. Pretty much have to play with others to have lasting fun and yes have to have an Xbox controller to play. Guys whining about this game obviously have not tried the previous versions. Not a ton of people still playing joining an active group should help with finding someone to play with.

The game is fun and it isn't just button mashing anymore for sprint races. You have to stay in the green area of the bar to do well. Also in terms of graphics this game looks great. I don't know what the OP is complaining about. Not every game has to look like Crysis 3 nor do I want all games to look that way.
