Did it ever get a retail disk copy in the US?
Did it ever get a retail disk copy in the US or "NTSC" aera.

I don't believe it ever did, else I would've bought 10 copies.
But I might import the PAL version, just to have it on my bookshelf.

I'm a bit amazed it had any retail release. The game (which I thoroughly enjoy) is one of the laziest, most blatant ports I've ever seen, especially for a company as big as Sega

Nope.
SADX is worse.

SADX is worse.
True.
Escape button to jump or attack makes me still mad on SADX.
