What would you rate this game?

I'm just curious on what you guys think. I played through the whole thing, and I award it with a You Tried/10.

Well the best part is deffianatly the modding community there are some great mods out there every sonic game should be on PC just because of this. Think of Lost World and how fun the new engine with level mods and such would be. Would make my damn year.

Anal Fungus, it still uses the Hedgehog engine, just changed the physics of everything. Just saying. Oh, and I would rate it 9 out of ten.

10/10 awesome graphics and feeling to the game, and don't forget the great remixes the game gave us in every level, and the best part of it is the modding community which makes the perfect experience for the game. also, if modding is on the subject, this game needs to be on the steam workshop.

It's versatility for playing great at both slow and fast speeds as well as the modding community putting out a lot of content out in two years, including a lot of unique ways to play the original game (different physics, other characters playable), new and old levels, little mods to improve the game experience (removing Omochao from loading screens, removing the logos on startup to boot straight into the menu, etc) all come together to make it a 10/10 for me. It's easily the most pick-up-and-play Sonic game for PC.

8/10 - A nice recollection of Sonic's better moments, but the lack of a proper storyline, short length (which comes with bad replayability) and downgraded characters doesn't make it a big deal in my eyes. It was entertaining, just not challenging enough in it's entirety to keep me busy.
Definitely needs Workshop support or some DLC content.

I really don't see why people see this game as great, a lot of the levels had poor design, cheap difficulty, and the Modern Sonic's moving physics where slippery and hard to control. Not to mention many of the things were overdone in the game.

Might just be a game that's not up your alley or suited to your playstyle. Which is understandable, considering it shares Unleashed's focused on speedrunning and memorization with a lot of mechanics at your disposal to think about, such as heavily using Modern's Stomp for precision platforming, or using the Slide to carry momentum instead of abusing the Boost (which has a set speed and can slow Sonic down).

Yeah, most levels actually had great design, it's just that the levels were designed for speed running and constant speed with the exception of the platforming sections.

After playing the 3DS version, which was complete crap, I would give this an 8/10. Not finished with the game yet but I'm having a great time playing.

The best Sonic game so far IMO... so 9/10 from me. I have high expectations for Lost World now.
