Xbox 360 controller stops working while playing
Hello!

So, I've been playing Sonic Generations for a while now, it used to work perfectly. But after I formatted my computer and reinstalled it, the wired Xbox 360 controller I have, stops working while I'm playing.
I start playing normally, then, after a few minutes, Sonic stops moving and I have to continue playing using the keyboard.
I think it's changing the main controller to keyboard by itself, because, when it happens, if I unplug and plug the controller again, it changes to second player! It's really annoying.
And just to be clear, it only happens in Sonic Generations. The controller works just fine in the other games I play!

Thanks in advance for any help.

You might try reinstalling the driver from the manufacturers website. I have never had controller issues with this game. Also, (You have probably heard it a bunch) but validate game cache integrety.

I've already tried to reinstall the game and the controller drivers twice. I might try to download the controller's drivers from MIcrosoft's website, but the drivers installed are the official that Windows 8 downloads. I'll try to validate the game cache integrity to see what happens.

My Wired 360 controller doesn't even get recognised in the control configs, never has.
Bummer.

This is ridiculous! Mine used to work! Playing this game with the keyboard isn't so cool, with the controller is awesome!

I've had a weird bug where the config tool changes my graphics settings but not my controller! :O

You could use the xbox 360 controller emulator (type that into google and you'll find it easy, better yet it doesn't seem to need any real tweaking for Sonic Generations), which sounds silly, but might help.

I don't know, I just formatted my computer, I'm gonna install the game later and see if the problem is gone...

I reinstalled everything and it seems to be working now, but I won't guarantee since I didn't play for very long after formatted...
