"Quickfix" on correcting SEGA's config issues... (Fullscreen/Controllers... etc)
I created registry files that corrects SEGA config issues. Allows the configuration tool to save, detect controllers, and modify.

http://adf.ly/KAMlj (wait for the timer on top right to expire then click "Skip Ad")

I have 2 folders on there... one for x64 and x32... Go into the folder to which your operating system is running. If you not sure... right click "My Computer" and goto "System"...

Under "System Type" should display which your OS is.

That fixes the issues for the SEGA Dreamcast collection... SEGA Bass Fishing, Sonic Adventures DX, Crazy Taxi and Space Channel Part 2

That's mighty kind of you to do this for your fellow gamers. Thank you very much. However, where do you put that reg file exactly?
Dilly Dilly Mar 16, 2013 @ 10:59am
anywhere... you just need to run them to add the correct info to your registry.. then you can delete/trash the files.

Thank you. I didn't know you needed to double-click the file to "run it". I don't usually run external registry files.
AHAHA OH MY GOD THANK YOU. I'll test with my controller when I get time but I can have limited spanish practice now because of you and I don't need to have my speakers at +50% volume because of the default settings.

does this allow to play the game exclusively by controller?

and, the link is gone...
J-Cutter Jul 22, 2013 @ 12:45pm
The Link's removed, but here's the fix (Tested working on 64-bit Windows 7, with 360 Control pad):

1 - Save the code below to a .txt file:

32 Bit:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SEGA] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SEGA\Space Channel 5 Part 2] "Space Channel 5 Part 2"="1"

64 bit:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SEGA] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SEGA\Space Channel 5 Part 2] "Space Channel 5 Part 2"="1"

2) Rename the file from .txt (Notepad file) to .reg (Registry Editor file) - you'll need to turn "Hide extensions for known file types" off in Windows Explorer to do this

3) Double click the file, and click Yes to merge the data into your registry.

4) Turn the controller on, open steam, right click space channel 5, click configure game

5) From Game Control, select "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows", instead of "Standard Game Controller", along with any other required options. Hit Save.

6) Try playing the game as normal - should be able to get past the start screen with the controller instead of the keyboard, and the main menu shouldn't constantly scroll up.

----

That should be enough, but if you still have issues, make sure you have a SEGA folder in your My Documents folder, and a Space Channel 5 Part 2 folder inside there.

If you get really stuck, here's a config file for 1024 x 768 Windowed English Playback, with xbox controller support - it neds saving to [My Documents]\SEGA\Space Channel 5 Part 2\config.ini:

[Space Channel 5 Part 2] COLOURMODE=1 CONTROL2P_INDEX=0 CONTROL2P_TYPE=1 CONTROL_CHU=0 CONTROL_CHU2P=-1 CONTROL_DOWN=33 CONTROL_HEY=1 CONTROL_HEY2P=-1 CONTROL_INDEX=1 CONTROL_LEFT=34 CONTROL_RIGHT=35 CONTROL_START=7 CONTROL_TYPE=3 CONTROL_UP=32 FULL_SCREEN=0 LANGUAGE=1 RESOLUTION=3 VOICE_LANGUAGE=1 VOLUMN_BGM=80 VOLUMN_SE=80 VOLUMN_VOICE=80

Awesome! Thanks for the fix!

I tried the second method, but I can't get full screen. I don't know how to do the registry thing(the details are too sparse for me), but I know how to alter .ini files. Perhaps someone can help me here?
