Sonic adventure 1 DX and 2 are the last sonic masterpieces, both games realase on dreamcast. Both games are awesome games but unfortunately you should be aware this first game age very bad comparing to the second one. When you play this games you think "man! Sonic works quiet well in 3D, why sega dont make sonic adventure 3 or something", thats probably what all poeple ask until this day! Sonic Adventure 1 have best story from all sonic games by far, and have best villian from all games! Chaos is a awesome villian each makes you ask for more until the epic ending this game have, yes this game have one of the most awesome and epic endings ever made in a video game! the Gameplay is fast but really fast! Sometimes sonic even disapear from your screen each is awesome! Each character have a play style and own story! Levels are well design with some annoying seguements here and there, but over all the gameplay is diverse and fun. Sound is like EPIC!!!!! The soundtracks overall are really awesome. Well this game is really nice! Just play it is pure nostalgia! Just be aware this game is old and have bugs and age a bit bad, but if you pass that you will enjoy much as I did several times :)
it's horribly buggy, the missions are dumb and the gameplay is cheesy. Probably the worst game I've ever owned, bar none. That being said, I loved every second of it, beat every story mode (except for metal sonic) and couldn't contain my excitement when I realized I could do it all three times and then get a new story. 10/10 would play every minute of every day
When you're a kid, perception is a bit different . 12 years ago, I would've said this is probably one of my favorite sonic titles to date. Now, I realize how much of a turd this game really is playing it in 2016. From it's awful camera, terrible dubbing, sleep inducing story missions involving big the cat finding his lost frog etc. Game itself has a laundry list of issues and If you are able to accept this, some enjoyment can be had. You'll most likely benefit from DX more if you played either the gamecube or the original release on dreamcast. Its feels like its ment for those who want the nostalgia trip but for everyone else, steer clear.
