First Sonic game set on Earth?
This game somehow reminds me of Sonic X on Saturday Mornings. Both Sonic Adventure & Sonic X are both set on Earth. I wonder, how did Sonic & his friends get to Earth in Sonic Adventure? Was is because of atfer the Events of the Genesis & Game Gear Titles...? Or is that because of another reason? Post your speculations about Sonic Adventure being the first Sonic to be set on Earth here.

Unleashed has 8 Earth locations in the PS3/XBOX 360 Versions. Athens, China, Italy, The Antarctic, Brazil, New York, India & Egypt. 2 of them are not even in the PS2/Wii Versions.

Play the Areas in Unleashed until you Unlock NY.

Before the Sonic games were set on Earth, they were set on Mobius during the Genesis/Mega Drive, Game Gear Titles & sometimes Saturn, even the 1993-1994 Cartoon Series. When the Dreamcast was released it followed up on Sonic X's Earth. The same thing happened with new Sonic Games & some of the Spinoffs up to Unleashed. That's what I think.

True. But Sonic Adventure was the first Sonic Title to take place on Earth. Maybe Sonic took a vacation to Station Square when you start the game up. But Station Square was Destroyed when you reach the Last Story, but its unclear if it gets rebuilt after you beat the Story Mode or not like Sonic X did.

Sonic X was made after Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, it was made to "animate" the games. Hence the storylines

That's true. But the New World Saga came first before the Sonic Adventure Sagas on Sonic X.

Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) is set on Easter Island (as per the manual). So all the games are set on Earth, except those specifically mentioned to be elsewhere - such as Sonic CD. Mobius, much like Dr. Robotnik, are thought to be translation errors between English and Japanese - hence why Robotnik is referred to as Eggman in the Sonic film and in the games from SA onwards :D

Not until the Dreamcast Era when Sonic Adventure came out. When the series were set on Earth up until Unleashed. Sonic Riders & Zero G did the same thing with its EX Gear World Grand Prix Tournaments.

Well, actually We got Robotnik instead of Eggman because America perfers not to have "corny humored" food-based names, also explaining why we got Toadstool instead of Peach.
