Game not running
Let me just start by saying that this is one of my favorite Sonic games, which makes it all the more frustrating that the game has just spontaneously decided to stop letting me play it. In the past, it's run completely fine, until one day, when it didn't. The green "in game" border around my icon was present even though the game itself was not. I decided to delete the local content of the game and redownload it, but this did not solve the problem. I desperately need help with this.

Computer specs:

OS: Windows 7
Processor: 2.0GHz AMD Athlon II Dual-Core M300
Memory: 3GB RAM
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 4100
DirectX: DirectX 11
Hard Drive: 113GB Hard Drive space
Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio

Well, what is the game doing when you start it up? A flicker, a black screen, etc?

Nothing, it literally doesn't appear in any form. The config works fine, but the config doesn't let me roll around at the speed of sound (or, you know, whatever speed Sonic goes at, they're pretty inconsistent about that).

All I can say guys, is google it. People have made HD mods, maybe those will help? I don't have a definite answer, but after installing a controller fix for the game, my copy of Sonic Adventure DX started working. Tinker with the mods. They could fix the game. Look for fixes also.

I have tried a couple of mods that are intended to fix problems with the game, but I had no luck.

Can you give me the specs of your computer as well as your operating system?

Bumping once again for urgency.

Okay, so I finally figured it out. I think the problem was that either the config or one of my saves was corrupted in some way, since the game started working once I deleted the "Sonic Adventure DX" folder in AppData. And thank god for that, because now I can finally play one of my favorite Sonic games once again!
