Is this game worth it? Still buggy?

The game is worth it(in my opinion) and yes,the port is still horrible but there are ways to improve it greatly

If you don't have it, its worth it. It's not that buggy, if you consider the game was released like 15 years ago...

But the port is not even 4 years old,and you can't play in full-screen mode or at a higher resolution than 640x480 unless you change certain thing by yourself.

this game may be old but thats no excuse for how buggy it is. However this port seemed to be signifacantly less buggy than the original dreamcast version (I have no idea why everyone ignores all the problems it had). As long as you have a controller I'd say its worth a play through. Infact get the sonic hits bundle. It's still pretty cheap and you get like 20 games.

i have a gameplay halting glitch, i recently posted a discussion on this games forums about it but i cannot enter the act accessible by eggmans secret base, i forget the name of the actual act but it is impossible to enter, i have only tried getting here by using gamma and haven't bothered playing as sonic yet cause i want to save the best for last, i am able to solve the puzzle and open the door but gamma wont go throught the door, only problem i have with the game other than that yes this game is stellar

*Shrug* A number of PC games require some adjustments to get them to function well.
If you ever visit Steam's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2's forums, 75% of the threads all are of the same issue: The game freezes at startup.

And the solution each time is roughly the same: change the .cfg file to disable fullscreen and force the game to run in windowed mode. (For some odd reason, Windows 7 and 8 can't handle fullscreen for that game.)

So some games do require a little adjustment to get them to work.

I still think it is unacceptable to release a game with a non-working config tool or that the game is worse than a port they made 6 years before

Could be worse: They could've released it on a console, where it's impossible to modify or adjust it, unlike on a PC.

But yeah, that was a little careless of them.
