[SOLVED] What is a "Triple Bogey"?

The game doesn't explain.

I am doing the Britannia levels and I always get to the hole but sometimes I hit obstacles along the way, other times I don't, and sometimes I pass the levels and sometimes not - even though I always reach the hole. How am I supposed to know each level's requirements/goals?

Also, I keep getting popups explain different "weapons" or something, like a bazooka. How do I being those up to use them? Again - the game does a very bad job at explaining things.

For anyone else wondering...

In golf a score that is over par is called a bogey. A triple bogey is three over par. So far example if you completed hole 1 in 8 shots your score would be classed as a triple bogey because the par for that hole is 5.

When selecting a hole from the main menu it will tell you the par for that hole. This is also reiterated in-game itself, at the top of the HUD you'll see your golfer name and then for example, Par 5 Shot 1. The aim of the game is to complete a hole in the par score or under to unlock the next hole for that course. As you progress through the game you'll unlock different ball utilities such as the ability to equip a parachute to the ball, these utilities are useful for going back and collecting the special crates on the holes.

To use a utility you must press [BACKSPACE] to open the utility selection. Your currently selected utility is shown in the bottom left of the screen next to the club. Press [SPACE] with a utility selected to activate it once the ball is in-flight. As the utilities are unlocked they will be explained via the popups in-game.

Golf terms. Each hole has an expected amount of shots before you sink it in the hole. This is called Par. If you are under par it means you got a bonus So if you hit it in with three shots on a par 4, you get -1 (remember in golf the lower score is better)
1st shot= hole in one
-3=Albatross (2 shots on a par 5)
-2=Eagle
-1=Birdie
0= Par
+1=Bogey
+2=Double Bogey
+3=Triple Bogey.

In other words if you get a triple bogey you just sunk the ball in with 3 more shots then it should have taken.
