Get the Indie Gala IX instead... It's in there..
I wouldn't be asking people on the forums if a game is good or not... Not everyone has the same taste so their opinions really are no use for you... You should ask yourself "Will I play this" and maybe watch a few gameplay video's on youtube - someones opinion shouldn't matter on what you buy, only yours :)

edit: from what I saw on a gameplay video it looks like it'd be a laugh

the main reason why i've asked this is because i've never played the original series so since this one is kind of a spin off, i was curious to know how is this game without considering the original series...but from what i've seen around i think that i'll wait for worms reloaded on sale...

Got it from the indiegala... For anyone still wanting opinions on this, frankly, it's quite boring.

This is just like a lazy mini-game in the same engine as the original series. You basically control the ball like you would a grenade in Worms games, by choosing power and angle. You may "miss" a stroke by shooting within certain ranges of power, depending of the club you used. You can also control the "effect" of the ball in-flight (don't ask).

Beside just reaching the hole within the par, there is optional stuff floating everywhere to get with the ball. Getting everything on a course is tedious but not particularly challenging, since you can take as many strokes as you want (and some crates and coins need a lot more than the par anyway). Then with the coins you have collected you can buy hats and the same alternative worm voicesets used in the series for 15 years now.

Just get a classic 2D Worms game (or the free Hedgewars) to play with friends in local multiplayer, that's what the series is for, and a hundred times more fun than this. This is just a poor and lazy attempt at milking cash from the license.
