I just wish...
That there were a "What's your budget?" option!
Seriously, how am I supposed to know what someone wants if they only give me an item type?
Can't even count the number of times where that little girl or charme have turned me down because the book or dagger I'm offering to give them at <50% price costs more than they have on them.

What do you guys wish was done slightly differently?

They should explain about near pin, perfect pin, just combo and customer reputation in the game or at least in the manual.

BTW, i cope with this problem this way: i've made a copy of Customer Preferences google doc from game wikia and added a column "max (observed) budget", and when i play i look up this column and update it when someone buys something more expensive than usual.

I wish there was an option to pull a shotgun out from behind the counter when Euria walks in the door.

Yeah, hard to believe this isn't mentioned anywhere in the game. The part about customer reputation bugs me the most. What pins and combos do in terms of XP is almost obvious, but there's nothing about reputation anywhere! The same goes for customer budgets and how it increases with hearts (that you have to track yourself and are easily missed), and that it increases faster with Pins. Hiding one of the most important stats in the game is really bad form :(

I also wish the encyclopedia mentioned item categories, as it's rather important for customer requests. That 'piece of armor' doesn't just refer to the 'armor' type would be nice to know. And how the h3ll could you know what counts as a home decoration or rare or plain or any of that?

And while booms are mentioned in a tutorial, knowing how to activate one would have been nice as well.

This is why the wikia[recettear.wikia.com] is so important. It's basically the manual that we should have had. In particular:
  • Customer reputation[recettear.wikia.com]. To know what it is in the first place see how you can raise it quickly. Customer budgets are mentioned too.
  • Merchant Level[recettear.wikia.com]. Merchant level effects and explanation of pins and xp combos.
  • Categories[recettear.wikia.com]. To know which item belongs where.
  • Atmosphere[recettear.wikia.com]. Effect of items on store atmosphere. Another thing that should be in the encyclopedia.
  • And finally Pin Bonus Percentages[recettear.wikia.com]. While I guess you can figure the values out on your own, at least some hint that pins exist and why they're important would have been nice.

I just find it a nuisance that only my window items sell, and everyone else tries to off their dead grannies yams and busted buddahs

Does it still mess up our combo?

Nope, and if you get a headshot it will be a "just pin". It will also cause a shotguns boom the next day.

Butbutbut who will sell me those 250Kpix glass bullets then!?!??!

Eh, just tell her you want to buy all of the ones she has, then when she shows up with them use the ol' 12 gauge discount and get them all for the cost of one shotgun shell. Capitalism ho! <gunshot>

Whenever one of your adventurers walk in just sell it for dirt cheap.
Like 100 pix.
Because all of our mercenaries are dead broke.

Lol that's what I did. I love upgrading my characters in RPGs so I can't miss a rare chance to in this game. x]
