Spending Habits of Various Customers (i.e. ♥♥♥♥ you, little girl, go home)
After playing the game a bit, I've started taking note of the margins that various customers will be happy with. So far...

Little Girl: this ♥♥♥♥♥ basically wants to rob me. She'll sometimes walk out on 113% offers. The safe range for her is usually 116-113%, but even then, I lose her business waaaaay more often than any other customer.

Old Man: he's kind of fussy, but will usually settle for 127-123%. He's my second toughest customer after the little girl.

Louie: This is your first adventuring buddy. He's a cheap♥♥♥♥♥ but that's not surprising. I mean, come on, the dude eats grass. Loiue will usually be happy with 123-121% margins.

Housewife: She can be kind of a tough customer, but will usually be okay with 126-122%.

Guildmaster: This is the lumberjack-looking gentlemen in overalls. He's a good customer and will usually be okay with paying 129-127%.

Townsman: This is the middle-aged gentleman in the vest. He usually doesn't have a problem paying 130-128%, and is right up there with the guildmaster as one of the best customers.

Arma: This is the robot girl. She'll usually be okay with paying 130-127%. Another very good customer.

Alouette: I hope I spelled her name right. This is the spoiled blonde girl. She clearly doesn't fuss over money and will readily shell out 135-132%, maybe more.

I haven't played far enough into the game to have other regular customers. Anyone care to add to this, or elaborate on anything?

You're charging waaaay too much.

Yes, selling at 120% wil give you a larger relative profit, but you miss out on all the bonusses that come with increased merchant levels and customer reputation. With higher merchant levels comes more expensive items, and better customer rep gives the customers bigger budgets.

The recommended range is 105-110%. That will keep the just combo running with pin bonusses. Overall, this will make you about 70% more money in the first few weeks than selling at 120%, because you'll have more expensive stuff to sell and the customers will be able to buy them as well.

See here[] for details. I still have to get off my♥♥♥♥♥and mold it into a guide, but it should be helpful enough as it is.

After playing a bit more, I've realized that they have certain budgets. I'm trying to stay away from guides until I get stuck (so far, I have a healthy surplus of cash). I appreciate the link; I'll check it out when I get frustrated.
