Can't seem to use any other special attacks besides the first?

It boggles my mind that I have this issue at all, but I can't seem to use any other specials besides the very first one that an adventurer has. Switching to a different attack works fine in that it will highlight a different one, but the moment I try to use it I just end up using the first one again.

I remember doing Louie's ranged attack literally once, and that was by accident while I was pressing buttons semi-mindlessly. After that I can't seem to do it again with any adventurer. So what now?

Check your mappings in custom.exe. There are separate keys for switching abilities, activating a selected one and up to five hotkeys for quick activaton.

If you haven't switched buttons, you can switch ability by pressing C

Ah, I didn't realize there were hotkeys; I've been using a gamepad (which I probably should've mentioned at first) and apparently the first hotkey was the same button as the ability button. No kidding.
