How Far did you make it?
How Far did you make it in your first "Play-through". There is no doubt that there is a steep "curve" to game-play, it starts out as 10k pix, but gradually climbs to 200k by just the forth week.

Thus I'm curious to ask, how far did you make it your first go around? I'm just starting my fourth week myself, and not sure I can do this one ROFL.

I made it until the last payment, and then barely missed the mark. I was sad. Seriously, it would have helped to know that the total debt your father had was 820,000 pix.

I failed at the second week.

I'd failed a dungeon and tried to be a bit greedy with sales, which brought me just shy of the limit.

Finished the game on the second loop but I'm really kicking myself for over-buying stock...

It probably was much lower initially, but due to lack of payments, massive interest. That, or he bought some seriously epic gear without haggling during red periods.

I managed to finish the 4th week, but decided to reload a pre-4th week payment, overstock, and purposely lose with an extra 200K spent into items so that I could breeze through Loop 2. Finished Loop 2 with a 500K surplus.

It's possible to Loop 1, but brutal due to lower quality items. Vending machines add to profits automatically, resulting in perhaps 50K extra revenue a day once you unlock them, for example.

The one time I lost was one the last day of the last payment. I got really unlucky with the news and ended up 30k short of 500k. Anyways I just reload my last save and steamrolled through this game. I don't know why people say this is hard. I just go out shopping every day in the morning, buy everything that has limited stock in the market and guild since those sell the most at your current level, stock up, keep up with the news, buy low sell high, bring out my stock of 2x priced items and stock up on half priced items. This game is easy.

So u control the demand with this scheme? interesting, idk that there was an actually economy to say the least. Yet if u can liquadate the competion then the demand can be set as u elequently put it, buy low, sell high(in regards to if there is a demand for the product)

I have just paid off the 200k and have about 100 leftover, so hopefully I can manage to get the 400 I need for next one, although stocks are running dry! :( I will need to get my capatilism on very hard this week :D No more 104% sales for rep, only all 150% sales for now :p

On my first playthrough when I had no idea what was going on, I failed the last payment. Finished the game on my second loop.

My second playthrough, paying off the entire debt on the first loop was a breeze, you just have to know how to use/abuse game mechanics.

If you're going for 100% item completion (be warned that this takes forever to do though, I have 100+ hours on the game and am only at 94%), you'll still want to sell at 104%. Certain items you can only get by buying from customers, and they will only sell them to you if you have really really good rep with them.

Will do from now on :) I was just overcharging to make sure I hit that last payment. Which I did! BARELY haha. Havent had to restart yet, paid it all off so far on my first run lets hope it will continue :D

If anyone is struggling with the debt, dont waste your time in dungeons. Too much time spent for mainly crap loot that nobody buys. Anybody need a toothpick? I have 100 of them hehe
Silly 27 mar 2013 à 13h06
Vending machines are a great way to get rid of crap that nobody buys.

You can even put other vending machines inside of your vending machines and sell them.
Vallen 28 mar 2013 à 4h30
Haha I didnt know you could do that :D

Make that "great way to get rid of expensive crap that nobody buys."

Don't waste the slots on the small stuff. Yes, you can sell Slime Fluids through vendors and get something like a 100pix profit. But you can also put stuff like wallpapers, floors and, yes, vending machines in there, and get several (ten)thousand pix. Even though they always sell at 100%, you will still make a profit off it, since you usually buy at 50-70%. The most expensive items have a far better chance of being sold through vendors than over the counter, so this will be where most of the money is coming from.

Just be careful not to crash the market.

Yes, this. Selling checkered floors and other vending machines in your own vending machine is a great way to bring in cash really quickly.

I actually do use my vending machines to sell slime fluids and stuff though, because I'm in the endgame with more money than I know what to do with, and I want to free up all the useless space in my inventory, so I can scroll to the more relevant items easier.
Reacher 28 mar 2013 à 13h39
When you are selling "Red Items" I found I can go as high as 340% with most customers except the house wife and the little girl.
Eoleo 29 mar 2013 à 6h17
Finished the game on my first loop with 487k money left over after the last payment.
minstrelofmoria 30 mar 2013 à 22h34
First loop, 50k money left over. I'm lucky I got that much--in the last few days, I managed to simultaneously crash the markets for weapons, armor, and food.
