It's a shame really since I was enjoying it, but with a problem like that I don't even want to bother.
The only one user with the same problems reports that he had 2 mouses and 2 keyboards where the copies where false ones - after the removel of them, all was good. But I have no "ghost" devices in my system.
IT FIXED THE PROBLEMS
Anyway, you could open the Device Manager and disable your graphics card driver on Display Adapters. Of course it is not the ideal solution, but it could work and you could use it temporarily to play this and other games that do not work with your graphics card.
If you are using a processor with Intel HD make sure to install the Intel HD driver as well (actually, I'm not sure it is a requirement, or windows 8 will just find and install it automatically, but good to make sure). I suppose Recettear can run well with Intel HD graphics; not sure though.
