Steam Cloud Support
If this game ever gets a update I hope the add steam cloud. 3rd party cloud services are such a pain to use.

I have a hunch that this game would need to be updated by the dev (EasyGameStation, not Carpe Fulgur) in order to support Steam cloud, because --if I recall correctly -- the savegame is stored in the game's install folder, rather than a personal folder.

(That said, I personally prefer that method, since I back up my games by simply copying the game folders to a backup drive, and the cloud actually messes me up sometimes by overwriting my saves when I try to transfer them...)

You can turn off steam cloud.

Also, having to hunt down the save locations. They're usually in my user folder, or the users/Documents folder, or something like that, though.

Move your My Documents folder into a cloud folder like Dropbox. Instant cloud backup. Plus you can restore previously overwritten revisions.

I don't mean to turn this thread into a debate over the merits of cloud saving, but...

I actually use my My Documents folder for storing documents, and it contains a large amount of data that far exceeds the capacity of a Dropbox account -- not to mention that I don't want to share all of it or even have it stored on a remote server.

Plus, I separated my user folder from my My Documents folder. And now some games save in My Documents (or what it is curently renamed to), while others save in my user folder and still others save in the Saved Games subfolder of my user folder.

Not to mention that it's perfectly possible to keep save files for each user even if a game saves in its installation folder. It's easy enough to create, say, files called save-QuintSakugare.dat and save-Zer0.dat (or whatever your steam username may be). Would also make it easy to locate the save files for those of us who like backing up our games on our own terms, rather than having to work with whatever cloud services offer us.

As far as I know, though, Recettear just uses a single save.dat file in its installation folder. So that's something that would have to be changed by the dev tweaking the code.
