Caillou's Request Bug?

Not sure if this is just me, but I can't seem to complete Caillou's initial request, despite having the items with me. I've got a Charred Lizard, a Bat Wing, and a Slime Liver, but whenever he enters the store, the scene where Recette claims she doesn't have the items plays.

Help?

Are you sure you have a slime liver, not a slime fluid? They look the same, so it's easy to mix those up.

Yep, sure. It's a Slime Liver, not a Slime Stone or Slime Fluid (though I have those too).

Nevermind, solved the problem. Apparently, you need to place the items on the counters for it to count, despite the game never mentioning that and all other orders not requiring that.:/

Its random I believe after a certain point. I know I got him to come in and accept right after I got them, but I got them quite late which makes me believe it has some sort of timed delay on him joining.

I've had to recruit him twice, but never had to put the items on the counter. He's pretty fun to use, so enjoy!

so where are the bat wings and charred lizard? also wherecan i find scarves?

Bat wings are dropped by eyebats. Charred lizards are dropped very rarely by rock-throwing kobolds, and the rat boss.

You just buy scarves.
