No, I've been chattering in the Steam Tagging Beta forum a lot and I thought this was in there, so I was asking what games have these two tags.

But back to Recettear...

I would REALLY hope that there's a downvoting system so I can downvote the "loli" tag.

"Kawaii" should just be replaced by "Cute".

The "Capitalism" tag is Actually Pretty Funny, though.

It is not loli?

I think some people could be offended for playing a "loli" game (which is normal for anyone who is not familiar with japanese games), but i think this game is, at least the main character along with other playables are loli.

Fortune Summoners is also loli.

About downvoting system I agree 100%

"Capitalism" could be changed to "In game money" (it is actually a legit tag for lots of games)

"Kawaii" as "Cute", agree.

I understand that some people don't associate the term "loli" with the sexualization of little girls, but a number of other people do, and the term's roots also have that meaning. Furthermore, the localization team, Carpe Fulgur, has expressed a strong dislike for the term.

And I'm fine with "Capitalism" being the joke tag for this game.

Well, i think the paradigm will change on the future.

There are people who like little puppys without sexualization of the dogs. Playing a loli game does not mean you are sexually attached to the character (yeah, sounds stupid), it just means you are playing a game with little girls and nothing more. Some "loli" games are related with "cute" scenarios, sweet storyline and childish motifes, and all that cames in the same pack.

As you say, some people tend to associate the term as sexualization, which is not right at all.

It doesn't mean this to you, but it does to other people.

But it is a fact of life.
That is the biggest prejudice ever.

I don't know too much about what i am about to say, but i think japanese people cope with that issue with not too much problem.

And if your argument is to downvote "loli" tag because there are people offended with that, i think that is enough reason for me to support your cause: let's do this little world (Steam) more comfortable for everyone.

Now i'm starving.
A pleasure to talk to you, kind sir.
If this helps any, a tag I've seen elsewhere is "female protagonist". If you want you could throw that and "child protagonist" on the tags list, to describe the same thing basically.
"No Fun Allowed".

Just a reminder:
Tags can be a good indicator of when there is a mismatch between how you perceive your game, and how your game is perceived by customers. Often this is simply because there is some piece of information regarding the game that customers feel is missing from the store page.
Yes the loli tag is perfectly normal and it only means you can play as a little girl.
Even EasyGameStation tagged their game loli: see http://www.dlsite.com/eng/work/=/product_id/RE054932.html tags.
dilworks 14 febr. 2014 la 19:36
"Loli"
"EconomyIsPainful"
"SocialismNot"
"GetEvictedIfYouDontPay"
"BannedInVenezuela"
"KimJongIlFavorite"
"CardboardHouse"

And of course the mother of all tags:
"MONEYOwnsThisTown" :)

EDIT: DLSite tags the game as "Yuri", WTF!?

Yeh I was surprised about the yuri tag. Did Calpe Fulgur remove subtle lesbian themes from the game? We'll never know.
Are you sure these are official tags?
Pragmatik 15 febr. 2014 la 13:10
Yes they are. You never heard of dlsite in your whole life?
