I don't know of any for PC off the top of my head. The Atelier series on PS3 is the same premise though, fight monsters for items to sell in a shop.
I've also heard something similar about Hometown Story, though I don't know how good it is.

Atelier isn't exactly "sell items in a shop" more like "make items for things people requested", I'm not a huge fan of the atelier series, mostly since it has many different endings you can get and you have to fulfill quite specific requirements to get them. (you can get more than one ending in a single run)

Hometown Story is similar, but I've heard bad reviews about it..

Personally im not very convinced with it at least... like letting customers wait forever in line so you can get a double-checkout bonus and such seems like counterintuitive mechancis
but of course your opinion may vary

Getting a bonus for making customers wait in line? That alone is enough to turn me away from the game lol

Well the actual bonus is to check out 2 at once, but for that you have to let one wait till the second is there XD
I love the atelier games- they are similar in that you kill stuff in the world and use the drops to make stuff- but you sell to shops or are fullfilling orders rather than selling in a shop. The newer ones are a bit less hardcore but you still really need guides to get endings. I think there are other similar games in japan that have never been translated too unfortunatley.

Torneko: The Last Hope has you playing as an item shop owner going through dungeons in a rogue-like manner, but it doesn't much focus on the item shop aspect.
the makers of recettear also made chantelise, maybe that game is similar
Chantelise is an action RPG.
I bought Hometown Story when it was released thinking a may be a worthy successor to Reccetear, believe me it is not. Although it is not bad in its own way I could only call it average, on the lower end of average. You can either wait around all day for the customers to enter the shop, sometimes it takes a while, you are advised to be at the shop at 2pm in game time for the merchant who visits. You can only get certain items from him and his stock is random every in game day i think. If you leave the shop you cannot close it, you can have your shelves fully stacked whilst going off to scavenge some items to sell. Problem is when you come back your shelves can be near empty. They have not bought the items and left the money, they have put it in your inventory so you have to restock the tables yet again. Do not buy Hometown Story if you think it is another recettear, it can get tedious and it is more harvest moon without animals or a farm, just a shop (you may have to play it to understand what I mean by this). We should all just spam the devs inbox and plead for a reccetear 2 instead :D:

A game that I know and that is similar is "swords and potions", but it is basically a flash game. If any of you find another game like this amazing gem, please, I want to know also
