TL:DR I don't recommend this game unless you like punishingly hard platforming and don't my sloppy controls.
This interesting game that started out as intriguing and engaging quickly turned into an exercise of frustration and anger. Dexterity challenges and puzzles became mean spirited and unenjoyably difficult. I found myself cursing the game on many occasion "♥♥♥♥ this game!" I only finished it because I knew that my friend had and that it is mercifully short. Overall I'm pretty disappointed in the overall experience of this game and wouldn't recommend it.
Open world to explore. I really dug this aspect of the game. Even though it is a fairly small world it makes the whole game feel more cohesive.
Some really great mechanics and level design.
Shoddy controls. Half the time I died was because the character wouldn't stop when I wanted or go as far as I needed it to when commanded.
Lame graphics. The 4 bit art style itself was not offensive to me. I thought it kinda charming. It was the "enemies", obstacles, and "glitchy" elements of the game that just were just plain lame or ugly.
The music, which was pretty catchy at first, overtime became annoying due to how much it repeats as you replay a section over and over again.
Level design that just feels mean. I seriously felt like the designers were laughing at me as I struggled to overcome some of the ridiculous sections of the game. The frequency of some of the check points are an indicator of just how difficult some parts of the game are.
