No Fullscreen support - Linux
I can't get VVVVVV to go full screen. I'm on a 1920x1200 monitor with a Radeon HD 7750. Anybody else having this problem?

I can't get fullscreen either. Whenever I try to set a fullscreen mode, the screen goes blank, flashes a couple of times and then returns to the previous windowed mode (but with the fullscreen resolution selected). Laptop running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit, Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Core i3, integrated graphics), 1366x768 panel.

Same problem here on Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit, GTX 570, 1920x1080. The game also does not remember the graphics settings. Every time I start it, I have to change the window size.

yup, same thing as ash on opensuse.
Also: when I go fullscreen, it shows up on my left monitor (which I don't like as it is not my main screen) but when I exit the game, my desktop is totally messed up. It seems better to use windowed mode and fiddle with window manager hints, but as you say, the graphic settings are not remembered.

The new steam client update fixed my problems, at least with fullscreen. The game starts off with a small, but when you choose start game, it flips to fullscreen successfully. I've got the resolution set to Auto.

Well since I was searching for this too, I'm confirming that updating Steam to the latest version fixed the problem.

Auto doesn't work for me, and even after Steam updates it still won't work.
At least 1024x768 works.

Yeah, it caps out at 1024x768 here as well but at least it does go full screen once I enter the game. It's one of the perks of stil having a 4:3 monitor I guess?

Does anyone have the issue of the resolution not being returned to the default after the game exits?

Mint 14 Cinnamon, GTX660

Yeah, Mine isn't being returned to the default here either. Ubuntu 13.10 using dual monitors. I can't seem to find a seettings file in the local files either (though haven't done much more than a cursory glance). making it impossible to change the resolution back to something viable. Basically, if I launch the program, it messes up the screens where I have to use the terminal to restart the X window.

same here on Ubuntu 13.04.
The screen just flashes, sometimes zoom in on some random part of the screen, blank screen and returning to the normal windowed.
