Game blank on launch

Under the steam linux client I launch this game, and it goes to full screen on my center monitor. It seems to load up and music begin to play, but it only has a simple background with the build version in the corner and below that the FPS.

I solved this by editing its settings.ini and changed windowed mode to 0. I hope this helps others, as my seach turned up no results.
