The PS2 version was released after the PC version in 2001. Gearbox developed the PS2 port and decided to add some extras

Honestly the PS2 version takes HL1's attempt at "realistic" graphics and makes the style more cartoony. That's a big Plasmid sized needle in the PS2 version.

I did a comparison between PC and PS2 versions using PCSX2, but I have on controller so I had to use cheats.
I wrote down differences in notepad:
Extended Hazardous Course
HD Models (Scientists, Guard, HC Hologram, HEV Suit, HEV Charger, Healer, and so on)
Office Complex start is different

I'll continue comparing maybe but not now.

I noticed that too but honestly the original Half-Life is the original Half-Life. If you want better graphics Black Mesa has you covered. You played Half-Life PS2 with a mouse and keyboard? There is a mod to play Half-Life: Decay on PC (With COOP) and there MAY (Because this is the PC) be a mod that swaps the models to the PS2 counterparts (I don't mean the HD models I mean maybe a swap for the Health and Armor.).

With keyboard, not mouse. I destroyed my usb controller which was a japanese-like version of ps3 one with 1234 instead of the symbols...I hated it, thats why I had destroyed it. Lol wait until you see my pcsx2 keybinds XD

I once played MGS 3 with a mouse and keyboard after I got half way through it (I have played MGS 3 around or more than 40 times). The PS2 version officially supported a keyboard to begin with though so people could text chat.

You could try searching here.

Try GameBanna too!
I see nothing wrong with someone potentially improving or personalizing their experience as that's one of the thing I love about the PC. Many people I assume are 50/50 on the HD models and the original models. While I like both I'm no purist. That said many people think that the PS2 HEV and HEALTH station look wonky to put it politley. Besides hardly resembling the originals they have animations that would make a simple port job difficult and because of peoples afformentioned thoughts on their appearence the likely hood of there being a mod that would allow for that is slim.

i had found a ps2 to pc mod but it was just a old pc version, and the chargers were still same, so was the hazardous course start and the first part of office complex

Like I said they are hard to port and deemed undesireable even to the most curious of HL fans who have restored older alpha models AND even redistributed the demo! Maybe port of the unreleased dreamcast port will deliver.

I am pretty sure there was a mod which added hd chargers...only if I find it.

This might help.

Not sure if it works or is finished though. Oh and this explains it once and for all:
"You see, in Half-life the health and suit chargers are brush entities in the maps, so in order to use these in the original game you have to replace the low def chargers with these models. You can do it in a program called ripent."
That's another reason I was aware of as to why they aren't available via mods.

Description says
you have to remap any map that uses a charger
but how'd I do this when theres no half life 1 bsp extractor (to use it in hammer)?

If you download the Half-Life Decay for PC mod they should be available by default!
