It has no malware and it is the old HL version... I play it all the time and my speedrun time is 2:00! :)
You can check this for the versions... https://wiki.sourceruns.org/wiki/Game_versions
EDIT: This has a won package which you can install as a mod... https://www.speedrun.com/hl1/resources just scroll down.
BTW the NGHL has a bunnycop cap at 500 UPS, 320 is normal walking speed. You can use bunnymod pro (Mod) or bunnymod xt (Application to use while game is running) to take away the speed cap
EDIT: The bunnymod pro mod and bunnymod xt application is illegal for a "valid" speedrun. If you are going to post your speedrun then you either have to use NGHL (With speed cap) or the won mod (Without cap). If you are wondering if the cap is bad, whenever I am bunnyhopping in a open space I run into it (Like a multiplayer map). In the actual game I almost never run into it.
The NGHL version has the ability to do mods.
