So is this a good game or a bad game and why?
I have not played it because I haven't beaten the first one btw.

It's not as good as the first Deus, that's for sure. play it and find out. It goes on sale a lot.

DONT PAY 10 BUCKS FOR IT! I just passed it with over dozen biomod canisters and a huge number of wheapon upgrades leftover and I suck at FPS (not much RPG in this, if any) It is fun for a couple of hours but not worth $10, Id rather play System Shock 2 for 10 bucks form GOG, Anyhow don't expect to much from this title, first and even third DX are so much better...The only positive thing is the fact that flamethrower works how it should, not like other games - you light someone up and he runs screaming, I did not notice the AI to be any better than DX1, in DX1 you could have a self inflicted gunfight against the enemy, when sb tries to shot you but shots his own team and they just have a gun fight, not in this game though... Sniper riflle is suppose to be one of the better guns yet there is no room to use it except the very end of the game. I vote go for it if you want some fun but not for 10 bucks! PS. I forgot to mention allthe issues, you'll need new texture pack and wide screen utility, still the game is full of bugs, will crash to desktop, menu will mess up your multitools, saves will become crap out, loading takes forever etc.

I already own the game, I got the deus ex collection for $11 I think. So I got it pretty cheap.
Also I dont mind installing mods since I do that for older games, I installed new vision for deus ex 1 and one other mod. Also is system shock scary? I heard its like bio shocks grand father. Bio shock kind of scares me haha. I havent goten far in the game(Own bio shock 1 + 2)
Bio Shock isnt really suposed to be scary though, but then again I get scared easly haha fallout 3 used to scare the crap out me back in 2010 LOL. Now it RARLY scares me, but maybe it would with no vats, 3rd person view mode or followers.

System Shock 2 is from 1999 but it has super advanced graphics for its era, I like it a lot more than bioshocks, it is longer, its a lot scarier ( I remeber the weird hybrids talking thru walls) and it has the cyberpunk vibe like deus ex not the steam punk bioshock, I dont like the unreal engine from bioshock (and other games) cause the graphics look very cartoonish. SS2 also has active hacking (requireing effort) a lot of RPG elements (like fallout but without turn fights) and its pretty much traveling thru a space ship where everyone is dead or turned into a hybrid and your pistol has only 3 rounds and its in poor condition so you have to try to fix it cause it keeps jamming, but fixing it is hard....If you have questions ask on my wall...

It's a nice game , but it gets a while to get into it. You can buy it sometimes for 2.5$ on this site and others. Graphics still seems old (as it did on the first game, but that game was great).

Played through Deus Ex 1 and LOVED it, so after I beat it I immediately jumped into the second game... I'm disappointed, but not completely turned off by the game. I had high hopes for it so yeah. That likely didn't help much. I do like how you can finally climb up stuff, but theres weird issues like frame rate drops and the steam overlay refuses to work. Other than that I haven't had any other technical issues (and I'm playing it without the texture and resolution packs...Though thats cause I've got no idea where to get these things. Afraid of picking it up at the wrong site).

It is a good game and better than most of those same old shooters. Compared to DX1 it KIND of sucks because you expect way more and get a more "casual" game instead. Nevertheless it is a cool cyberpunk shooter with augmentations, quests and many different (non lethal, sneaky) solutions.

I loved Invisible War.

I found the first DX getting tedious after a while - sorry to be stepping on millions of toes. Invisible War was less toing and froing into inventory and the story is more interesting. Alex D is a better game character because he is young and willing to learn whereas the brothers were rather cold and one-dimensional. It's also nice to meet characters from the first DX again in IW.

And I'm a huge fan of System Shock 2.

I figured you liked system shock 2 (your profile photo was hint) I own the game but I never got really far since it freaks me out. It's also the weird hand to hand combat that's a little broken that seems to make it more scary. I'll eventually play through it or play throught it with a friend. It's funny looking back fallout 3 used to be a game that would scare me now I don't find it scary... Maybe system shock 2 will be the same. Do I have to beat deus ex 1 before I play invisbile war? I got 6 hours into deus ex 1 but then I had to re-install windows when my pc was screwed up so I lost my save. The game seems amazing but I don't like to re-do six hours...

Not even worth the sale price. I don't understand how any fan of the original (or a game like SS2) would like this horribly consolized and watered down version of Deus Ex. The level design is an attrocity.

This isn't a bad game- really the game isn't quite as good as the first one, but when you compare this to other games that came out at the same time it still stands head above the rest. The devs actually paid attention to developing story and such, and it shows.
Pharnham Apr 27 @ 5:26pm
I enjoyed it a lot, wasn't disappointed at all with it. Took a bit to get used to the new interface after DE1, but that's about it. It's a good game.

The really anal purists always bad-mouthed it, but I'd suggest ignoring fanboy purists of any sort. They have serious issues with change, and it makes them get all moody and skip Christmas.

I bet they all still drive the same make and model of car they took their driver's license test in.
