Anyone else experiencing sound problems through steam?
Self explanatory, when I load Deus Ex through steam via online mode the sound seems very distorted, however, when I load it from offline mode the sound is normal as it should be. Anyway to fix this problem also, anyone else experienced this? EDIT: Sound seems to be fine now sorry for wasting time.

Would you elaborate?
Disorted sound? First time I've seen a bug like this. Go to the sound settings and change the 16-bit thing, ( I think that's what it's called) to 32.

I'll try to help as much as I can. You could add me and we could work it out from there.

Thanks for the response, to elaborate what I meant was that the sound of speech was crackling and you could barely hear what the characters were saying. After doing some testing I found that restarting the game suddenly wiped the bug free but I had to do that a lot (restart the game, I didn't mess with the options). Over the past couple of days the sound seems to be fine now without having too restart I forgot to state that it worked fine now, thanks for the advice though I'll remember to do what you said if the problem arises again.

Having the same problem, i.e. crackling voices. The music is fine, just sound effects in the game and menu sounds. I'm sure I've had this problem before... can't remember how I sorted last time.

Thanks for the reply, glad it wasn't just me. The problem for me subsided for a little bit but happens occasionally I usually find restarting the game erases the problem. I also found another little problem this time not related too sound but to the crosshair moving at a slow speed (easily dealt with by accessing the menu and exiting it).

Thanks for the advice, always good to know you're not the only one! Yeah, same thing here, restarting the game fixed the sound problem. Quite strange, but as long as something works, I wont complain.
