Even though I have played and finished this game like 10 times some long time ago (maybe a year and a half) , im finally giving it the review I think it deserves. The Darkness has become one of my favorite 2k Shooter games, aside from Borderlands and Bioshock, cuz you know 2k has a way with games like this that make them so freaking good, and The Darkness has everything I like. The game is awesome, you have tons of weapons and powers that make gameplay so intense and dynamic and it makes you want to finishe it all over again, being a host of the Darkness gives you the most badass powers I wish i had in real life, lol. But one of its strongest ponits is its story, Its very deep and has a dramatic narrative but with good action, really the game gave me more feels than i thought it would, you might think its all about the killing and ripping apart dudes with tentacles, and yes it is, but as you get more into the story it makes you feel like a sad journey through hell. I loved this game and I really hope for a sequel, it totally deserves one.
A terrible console port, the graphics seems like 720p, even when the res is set to 1080, the controls are horrible, with the mouse being set to what feels like 9000dpi first time you load the, wayyyyyyy too many cutscenes, and a story that lacks depth enough to keep you playing. 2/10, cannot recommend. Also too easy, I set it to the second hardest difficulty, and I just blazed through everything.
