Will there be a sequel? With improved/added features? Like mutliplayer, streaming radio, etc.
There should really be a sequel to this game. Some things I think would be great are:

-Streaming radio for music, like in Beat Hazard. Beat Hazard can sync to Last.FM so you always have new music. It's awesome.

-3D support- this game would be awesome in 3D

-More modes/ways of playing

-Maybe multiplayer, online and local

-Proper controller support (my 360 controller still doesn't do anything)

Any other ideas?

I'm working on the Polynomial 2 right now, actually. Main focus is on gameplay (new enemies and such), more usual game menus (more console / controller friendly), and some new visual effects.

Streaming radio: maybe if I hire someone to implement that. The ideal would be to be able to simply grab what ever is being played at the moment using what ever music player, but I can only do that out-of-the-box on Linux because other operating systems don't permit this for DRM reasons.

There is some 3d support, as far as the graphics card manufacturers would permit for an OpenGL game to have, of course (nvidia 3D vision does not work with OpenGL). I'll add oculus rift support when I get the hardware, provided there's enough users with rift.

Controller support: check the controls menu, you need to choose the right controller now, it's disabled by default because some people have a mouse or a keyboard that presents itself as a non functional controller.

dmytryl thanks for giving the heads up. This game sold me on Steam. That and developers being cool enough to chat with players. I'm definitely going to need better rig so I can actually use the Oculus Rift with the sequel.

Hello, I love physics and audio visualization. I would be interested in being able to create either Characters or enemies by playing a song, I actually plug my guitar in to my computer when I play this game and watch my music. I would love to be able to create and store different creatures which were created by different songs. I hate the gameplay honestly, but I love the concept. I will no doubt buy the new version. but if it has a way to further customize the environment and create more via sound, I will buy one for every one i have ever met in my life.

Please consider adding side-by-side 3D like you did in first game.

I'm reusing the core functionality so the 3d modes will all be present (and some new ones added, such as Oculus, albeit having gotten an Oculus, I can see that motion sickness is a much bigger issue than you would think it is)

So I know Nvidia 3D vision doesn`t work, how does the side by side 3D work? Is that a different method of 3D that would work with my nvidia card?

It depends if the monitor/projector you're using supports side by side 3d.
I use Nvidia 3DTV Play (it's same as 3D Vision but supports 3D TVs and projectors). My projector supports side by side.

Why not just make it a really big updated instead of a sequel?

the 3 things that I would love to see in a new release

Dynamic changing maps, instead of one set fractal I would like an option for a dynamic fractal that changes with the music.

More file support. using a work around for flac sucks, and I would love to be able to play a movie file and it runs the audio in the game, would be nice for audiobooks etc so I no longer have to convert.

Streaming radio would be very nice.

Really love this "game" even though I don't play it for the game. I just start it up along with whatever album I want and use the auto pilot script.
