One of the most underrated game ever due to X-com fans hating change. This is basically the Command and Conquer Renegade version of X-Com series.
If you are into Agency/FBI like games you got to get this game. It is one of a kind. Not much games out there that is set like this one. Sure there is no stealth like Hitman series but, it is war. You can say the same for Condemned series, but theat is horror. I've seen far worst Agency like games than this, if anything it comes out on top of the list.
Sure, there are a couple of issues with this game though. Here are some cons, but, they are very small.
- Hold shift for running and cover at the same time can get you trap from running away from the wall(cannot be changed).
- You need to press shift again to vault over.
- Scanning is pointless in this game as there is no encyclopedia, even for DLCs to look back at for info. Other than that it is for a steam achievement for main game.
- Hangar 6 DLC AK47 and Micro Wave Gun is not updated or cannot be accessed for Main storyline, they do not exists in the main story.
There are some stuff you should know when you buy this game.
a. There are no secrets to unlock, so don't bother scrolling around unless you want to read all the letters.
b. "Hangar 6" DLC is a prequel to the game and should be played first before Main story.
c. Code Breakers is an option Operation that should be bought when discounted. It is just an extra mission for Main game(was a Pre-order DLC). Very Short.
d. You cannot scan documents or letters.
e. Do not buy Light Plasma Pistol DLC. I do believe one of the DLC's come with it. I don't remember how I got it. But I could access it in main game. I don't even have the Light Plasma Pistol DLC.
f. You do not unlock anything at all for playing highest difficulty other than one steam achievement. As for DLC go ahead play Rookie mode and enjoy the story.
There are also 4 endings for the Main Story line. So you can replay it 4 times or load back save checkpoint.
