Need help leaping from Insane to Nightmare

Having completed Insane, I am now attempting the near-infamous jump to Nightmare. None of the builds on the forums are working for me however. Does anyone have any recent build that would work for me?

great you have a nice selection of toons, however your can improve your stats of your characters further by collecting some godly armour and weps, these can be found on insane campaign and survival, try to improve your characters a little further.

ideally the majoirity of your builders need to be atleast level 60. run glitterhelm insane hardcore camapign to level your toons to atleast 60 the more the better. try to break the 200-300 barrier

you can complete a challenge known as raining goblins on nightmare with a level 60 squire with high end godly gear. the reward is a very useable staff for the mage. ogre crush is another challenge to obtain the ogre party hat for a dps monk.

Thank you for your reply Sir Cheddington, but does anyone know any way, after getting more "Godly" Items to progress to "Mythical". Just asking so once I get the time to follow Sir Cheddigton's advice I immediatly have the next piece of the puzzle to use.

your best bet are stores, but for that you need mana, and for mana you need to....yeah, the progression on this game is pretty much broken. if you need to gear up, add me, I have some very high end mythical pieces you can make good use of,

add me, I can show you a build for throne room. It would requie you to be lv74 on a few toons. but while i'll show you build you can leech some xp and mythical items for your toons and of course have a build that works for throne room.

If you are still looking for assistance making the jump, I as well can help out with showing you a couple builds, but as already recommended, your best bet right now is to work on getting some godly gear (level 60 req gear), then I progressed through some insane survivals, and if you can last late in those, occasionally you can get some low level mythics to drop (probably around wave 20+ on insane, depends on the map). Another thing that will help you is to collect a full "set" of an armor, as you will get a stat bonus to every piece if you wear all leather/chain/mail/plate/pristine instead of mixing and matching items. I personally started on magnus quarters for survivals as it was my favorite layout at the time.

tl:dr version, collect all of one type (leather/chain/etc.) in godly and give them to your characters, then do the same with mythic.

You should try to play some Maps on Insane HCMM. After finishing Wave 15 there will be a good chance for Mythical Items.
The higher Maps (Endless Spires, Summit, Glitterhelm) will bring you more Myth´s than Deeper Well. Because of the ammount of ememies that will spawn.
The Item Sets are also a good way to improve your Stats. But remember, that you can not mix Godly with Mythical Stuff in one Set.
Another way to catch up some Mythics is to do the first wave on Endless Spires NMHC. The Wave is easy to do for a Tower App even without high stats. The Chests after the First Wave will give you some Myths that can upgraded up to 90.
Another thing is that you need some Familiars for all your Charackters. On active Builders (like Squire or App) a Genie would be nice (try to beat wave 15 on Hall of Court on Hard or even better on Insane HC... MM for a much better Genie). On inactive Builders (like Hunter or Monk) you will need a Familliar that boosts your Stats. For Example you could use the "Giraffe". This Famillar is awarded after beating wave 25 on Deeper Wells.

I had the same "problem" three weeks ago: My heros (the four usual plus Summorer and EV) were on level 70/71 and I couldn't do nightmare and had problems even on medium doing the newer maps.
What I did: One after the other I raised my heros to level 74 doing (for the ep) Glitterhelm on insane, City in the clifts on medium, King's Game on medium and later hard.To get mana I played some maps on survival (medium and hard). With the mana I went to the shops and bought some decent gears.
Things started to improve after the first hero reaches 74 and had a full set of mythical gear of the same type. This hero (apprentice) gave the towers that helped the other heros to reach also level 74.
But be careful you have to invest a certain amount of time in the shops. More often than not mythical gears in the shops are overpriced and undersexed. There are some shops that sell good mythical gears (around 300 and more tower points together) for 5 - 12 mil; other sell crap for 50 (and even more) mil.
When you can do survival on insane you have a fair chance to get even some mythical gear (which is not good enough, though) and useful pets an weapons.

Thank you all for your generous help, I think I am now "geared up" to enter Nightmare. BigCut let me spectate (with 2 gamepads also connected) a Wave 25 run on Magus Quarters. Using the mana and the 3 Giraffe on Treadmills I recieved I upgraded my Apps gear and gave it to my squire. 1 of the good Giraffe on Treadmills (picture at bottom) was also given to the squire and I can now complete Endless spires NM wave 1. Once my GCSE mock exams are finished I get the feeling I'll be playing a lot of that map to get some low end myths.

last i heard it was like a 30% increase in difficulty for 5% increase in drop quality,if you cant handle mix mode then it is totally fine to turn that mode off, as the quality increase is small. but it does make the survival alot quicker.

towards later waves of insane survival mythical quality loot will begin to drop, i have personally seen myth loot on maps as low as foundaries and forges.

what i did: i trained my hunter to lvl 70 and upgraded some crossbow for extreme high dps. i als used a tower squire squire pretty much same stats as yours. i went to endless spires on NM. the first round can be easily completed as longs as you're able to kill the mobs with your squire towers. The ogre has about 2mil health but you can force him to come after you, even when he starts pounding a crystal. shoot him down with your ranger and the round will end (takes a while). open the chests and profit. you're certain to get myth for every time you do this. only problem: you have to be 74 to wear it and that is basically a pain in the ass. grinding is your only option, or join a game...
