Banned Falsely
VAC banned off the game for modding on the offline mode to test things, which is allowed within the rules. Didn't even keep the things, deleted them afterwards and was VAC banned off the game. Losing all the DLC, and over 300 hours on the game -.-' worse thing, you can never lift a VAC ban so can no longer play without making a new acount, rebuying the game and all the DLC and spending god knows how long to get my great set back -.-' Seriously hate the system they use for VAC banning. Now every time I go online, I get abuse for giving myself an unfair advantage on the game because the system doesn't work properly -.-'

Yeah fight that mate! I am sure you can get it removed.

did you mod on ranked/open you will still get a vac from modding on those servers regardless of you being offline on steam or not, i think it is only single player (may still have a chance) or gamespy which will not get you vac'ed banned.

btw you can still play multiplayer on gamespy, in the configure menu select gamespy

if you didnt use a 3rd party program, or mod in ranked/open then you have every right to appeal the ban. if you did use a 3rd party program and where connected to ranked or open then it is highly unlikely you will get the ban lifted.

good luck

He says he modded offline, but if he got vac banned for using a recognized third party program, that's pretty much it, it will never get lifted.

That's why I never use cheats on any vac protected game, not even ingame cheats.

If by "offline" mode you mean "open" then you're still wrong for using whatever it is you used. Open is VAC protected, same as Trendynet. If you wanted to test things, you should have used the DDDK.

Any modder checks the agreement even before modifying a game .exe. You could have used the DDDK, could have used a craked copy in a seperate folder, anything but trying to modify a offline game to better benifit yourself. You need to be banned, and hope not to see you around.

I have 4K armor, can run any map, and all without hacking (modding) as you call it. Good to see you go.

Mike.

For the record. The stuff I modded was on the offline mode. It was never taken into open and I would never use a mod in a game with other people. I was getting a set together in ranked and was interested as to what stats I might need to do even better in my nightmare runs.

None of the changes were made on ranked, and were not taken into open. Which is why I found the ban unjustified.

You don't understand, you used a third party modification tool on a vac protected game with steam running, you ♥♥♥♥ed up your entire steam account, im very sorry but that is the reality of it.

is there such thing as falsely banned?
Ōkami Nov 27, 2012 @ 1:32am
There was once a case with VAC, the reports about an error were massive and in that case, due to the number of similar complaints, it was looked upon, you can google it. In cases like this, well, the thing about VAC, it just logs and logs and logs, until you get banned and you will never know why. Just play it safe, keep cheats off VAC protected games, you might get away with some, but eventually you will fall.
