Whats the fastest way to earn tons of XP and mana at the same time?
my stats are monk: 1373 - 2980 - 1454 - 924
and on my squire they are about 1-1400 all the way
Any help would be appreciated :)

Well the fastest way to earn XP is Tavern Defense, The fastest way to earn Mana without trading would probably be Lab Assault but both would be nearly impossible outside 2.5-3k stats spanning multiple characters.

best xp/mana at same time: aquanos or kings game, tavern defense sucks!
aquanos ~2m xp/50m+ mana each wave

Tavern Defense is definitely best for XP, but I'd have to recommend Aquanos or Kings Game for both mana and XP.

If you have a hard time doing those with your stats and really need mana, Shipwreck Monsterfest on NM HC is incredibly easy and will flood you with mana. Doesn't take much time to do either.

You get virtually no XP from it though but hey, just figured I'd toss the name out there incase you have trouble with the above maps.

I get more xp in 13 Waves Kings Game, then 30 at tavern defense

It's best to shut down tavern defense at about wave 20 since the XP just diminishes more and more from that point on. Campaign TD gives the most in the entire game I believe, but I personally do pure strategy and stop around wave 20 since it's a lot easier than campaign.

On pure strategy nightmare TD, I got 34 million XP in roughly 30 minutes including build time. Nothing beats TD for most XP in least amount of time.

There's good enough items out there. It isn't until about 3-3.5k stats where you'll start struggling to find upgrades in gear. Endgame RNG is broken beyond belief since after that you could sink 400 hours into it and most likely not find anything better for anyone. If you ever want to complete NM Crystalline Dimension, those stats won't cut it which is the dilemma.

To sate your curiousity, the best gear typically comes from Nightmare Survival Hardcore Mix Mode maps. King's Game and Sky City are generally most people's go-to place for it.

I'm fairly new to high level dd and saw my first transcendent armor drop on mistymire forest survival nightmare hardcore mix mode. If you're looking to start heading there I have a set up for it that can easily take you from hard to nightmare fairly quickly....however for story mode nightmare you WILL need a fairly decent dps character(preferably monk)

If you have below 2k Stats I´d go with ramparts or throne room nmhc survival. You will get a lot of mana from it, if you stay summoner in battle phase.
From then on you can try getting better gear with trading or doing some harder maps.

If you managed to get all your main builders to 3k (monk, summoner, squire and ev) you should be able to do kings game nmhc campaign.
You will get tons of mana (~50 mil per wave) and loads of xp (aint sure about the exact numbers)

Hope that helped

Fella, I was a huuuge inital fan. I still play the game. Here's the deal. If you wish play WITHOUT the nonsense of buying crap other people build or cheat for billions of mana most of what is posted above is created by people who've BOUGHT their stuff or played when DD was a baby. The reality here in Dungeon Defenders world is WHENEVER anyone comes to this forum wishing to level up you HAVE to understand that you either go the route of the lame and buy crap made by people who've been in the game for a looong time OR go the route of mind-numbing soul-destroying grind which can take hundreds of hours.

Please read this.. This game is broken. It is beautiful. It might be the best lan multiplayer game ever created. BUT it is broken. When you read people posting that you as a NEW player needs to do this NM on that level realize that gamer either is an OLD player, cheated, or BOUGHT their way into pure NM. There is NO genuine way into 'worthwhile nightmare' without cheating or buying IF you are a noob. You CAN monkey around for hours and hours on spires and waaay lower levels on NM for the intial levels which essentially gives you almost NOTHING in relation to what is TRULY needed to WIN a NM level.

This game is truly a weird disaster and most of the people commenting here are not hardcore true players... They've gamed the system...

AND if you wish to respond to my post with recoil and horror because I've ♥♥♥♥ed you off. Here's my challenge: Post on YOUTUBE a WALKTHROUGH from start to finish a level 0 to level whatever character(s) that can win Spires on NM. ZERO buying, ZERO cheating, just PURE DD gameplay.

NOT GONNA HAPPEN. This illustrates that DD is an evolution of gaming bs.

infinios, you are right and wrong at the same time.

You are right that it takes 100s of hours. I never thought of this game as a game the latest generation would play. This is a game for farmers and grinders of the 90s era games. We were the ones playing Mario 3 and never using our backpack until the last castle of the last map and even then we felt bad using it. That's just how I always thought of DD.

Also, I genuinely worked my way into nightmare. I played solo or with my 12 year old on a split screen for close to 800 hours to do so and I think that is what your point really is. I did not cheat or buy my way in. I did it my way, the old fashioned way.

I think your point is, that a game that required you to farm the same map 200 times to get a full set of TRANS gear is not a properly balanced/rewarding experience.

I absolutely love this game, but I also understand and share your frustrations.

Oh, and the only way to go from 0 to nightmare quickly would be by joining public powerleveling maps on TD, and someone giving you a decent myth set or two to get you started. I went 0 to 78 on 6 toons before I ever learned about NMHC TD PS so I definitely took a lot of time.....close to 800 hours before I felts I was "good enough"

I play with a friend since it came out on the 360. Once you learn technique its really not that hard. The hard part is finding all the gear that gives the stats you need for higher levels. You can go from 0-74 the RIGHT way in less than a day. The next step is trickier in that you need to find Trans (maaaaybe high level Myth) and higher gear for the Eternia Shards DLC on NM HC.

It takes a while at first. I remember starting on the 360 and my friend and I spent more than a week to get to its max level. Now, we start new characters and can get there in a day.
