Here is why it happens and why you wont get a solution soon:
It requires effort - to make such a box to type in
... - to type in a (honest and relevant) message in that box
...- to put some code in place that hands out temp bans and enforces it.
It requires so much less effort...
to just quickkick without communicating
to do nothing to prevent it
to just not care.
Your expectations of behaviours has not yet caught up with the realities of the internet where everyone is just another stranger. And combine lazy with attitude towards strangers and with trying to optimize personal gain (by shortsightedly minimizing time spent on things not contributing directly) and you get something that leaves very little room for the kind of RL common courtesy that your are looking for.
- that they need a free slot for a friend
- maybe they want to play solo with bringing up to 4 chars in the game
- i've met much people that don't know that there is a "hide game" button
- mad bro's ( very very rare )
- but at least it is "maybe" your character you're playing, if it says "xp run" and someone with lvl 100 join and don't switch on build phase immidiately to a lower char, they will be asked ( i do ), if they're not responding they have to leave the game forced way. Most of the people are unfortunately just "dumb" kicking people for something like this:
"Need builder" - you join as dps, but you're going to swap to builder with 4k + stats
"forcibly removed" - host is stupid to "THINK" that there is a swap button and you're probably was going to swap.
and last but not least, just ignore xD
For the most part I try to give a reason, some times people just get automatically aggressive and/or act like jerkoffs.
Now, be thankful you are getting kicked for no reason, there are dozens of horror histories about hosts kicking people after they build or just right before the end of the game just so they can farm more.
Only way you will be 100% safe from stupid no reason kicks, or worse, host your own games.
A: they create a game asking for a builder?dps in the server name and you join with the opposite. If i ask for a builder and you join with a barb/jester i will give you about 5 seconds to type i can build in chat before i kick you.
B: the map im doing is hard and my stats are not good enough to carry people and you join in with a level 72 squire with mythical or less gear on. I will kick you.
Those are the main reasons i will kick you. But im a host ♥♥♥♥♥ too meaning if the builder i asked for is in game and he asks me to kick you i will kick you for that reason too because i dont need you(a person who is more then likely trying to leech gear/xp/mana) but i do need that builder. :)
The main reason I kick is if someone do not read my description where it says if i host a kingsgame nm hc runs:
"up + rep + g, else leave"
They join the game, don't rep stuff on top, because i take care bottom, they g up too quick, and then they just leech around like its a normal state. Its obvious that traps / auras begin to die.
Depends on my mood, I ask them if they're read the description. If not, I tell them to up rep and no tilerun because its slowmotion is annoying. If someone still wasting a slot, they get a boot.
If i'm píssed off because of previous players, i will let people in, but if they did'nt read description they get instakick. I'm a human too.
But kicking for no reason making the host karma very bad.
With the amount of hacking and Trendynet's policy of banning players with hacked items, I would be extremely careful with who you group with and what "free items" you accept from random public players.
