Dungeon Defenders II yay or nay?
Are you excited for Dungeon Defnders 2? I'm a bit skeptical but I'm gunna give it a chance.

What would you like in the new Dungeon Defenders? I would like to see a gear/reward/progress system rework, I had the most fun in this game at low levels where strat was more important then stats. At high levels it just became a grindfest and wasn't as fun anymore. What do you think? I hope they make it less of a grindfest or at least keep the game fun even when you hit those high levels.

Man, i'll put like this: i just find this game awesome (The Dungeon Defenders 1). I usually play with other 2 friends of mine, and we spend so much time in that game, we can't even feel the time going on. the mechanics a dn simple graphics made the game very attractive at first. I really hopes this sequel goes far and bring more campaigs and heroes, also a combo system could be very nice with ther heroes. The workshop can be improved, in my opinion, but lets put it simple: it's a very nice game. I do expect this sequel very soon ^^

Yeah, the endgame is what ruined DD for me. Somewhere around mid nightmare you just hit a wall where it's either... you can do Aquanos/Sky City/etc, or you can't, and if you can't then getting to that point is very difficult. NMHC Mistymire never dropped jack good for me either. Early-midgame, or really everything pre-nightmare, was fairly well balanced and a lot of fun in multiplayer, when you could feel like you were actually growing and improving. I'd like to see more of that and less of the mid-late nightmare grind.

This hits the nail on the head. I loved the game until Eternia Shards Part 2 came out. Part 1 and the early version of Nightmare was actually fun despite being moderately difficult to transition to, and added some spice to the game. However, Part 2 and beyond felt like a sloppy mess, and it just seems the developers weren't even trying anymore. Horrible balance, bland enemies, and tedious levels became the norm for new content. And don't get me started on the Crystalline Dimension. ~.~

After Eternia Shards, I have little faith in Trendy. The first Dungeon Defenders was a day one purchase for me; Dungeon Defenders 2 is a solid 'maybe', even when it goes on sale.

It's not that it wasn't good. Just that the progression skyrocketed, and it was a grindfest constantly playing suirvival hopeing for a decent drop to progress to the next map. DD 2 is gunna be f2p btw. So give it a shot at least, I'm gunna at least see if it's good before I make judgement.

trendy wrecked dd because they got greedy with the dlc and made you have to have it ev,summoner, and the newest map for the best gear or winning is all but impossible I think that this trend will fallow them in to the next game it maybe free to play but I think in the end it will be pay to win

No, they need to keep the high difficulties or no one will play because they'll finish the game super quick and that'll be that. If it wasn't for the difficulty jump, the grind to get better gear, and trying new strats to overcome the harder missions, then I would have probably stopped playing DD around 50 hours instead of 500. Although, if they plan to make the jump as huge as it was going to nightmare, they need an easier transition so it doesn't discourage too many people from playing.

harder does not equal changing the game to make things needed to win they increased the difficulties on the base maps and did not make the rewards any better it was about money not the game or the rng would have been fixed long ago
Instead they made a game were players have turned to hacking or quitting out of frustration

I don't mind nightmare mode. I just hated playing survivial 100 times in a row for one good drop. I don't mind the game being hard. I just would just like a improved reward system and ways to keep the game fun for high levels.Because it was just grinding for good gear at high levels it got old and stale.

I totally agree. I'm excited because the sequel to a fantastic game always has potential to be awesome. I hope they do find some way to keep it interesting at the higher levels though.

I'll probably buy the sequel and it's dlc.

I have heard that Trendy is adding many of the things that make League of Legends popular to DD2. I believe it was an article about a couple Trendy Employees that left. Might have been on Kotaku.
