Rewards?

I'm farming Kings game on NMHC, but i keep getting crap rewards. I'm doing this on my lvl 75-ish jester. If I were to change to a higher level hero like lets say 90+, would i get a chance to be rewarded ultimate or ultimate+?

No. Hero Level doesnt matter. only the Map, Difficulty, and Hardcore Mode does.

Those three factors affect reward quality.

Survival's Mix Mode does not affect Item Rewards. It just improves Item Drops, for future reference.

However, speaking of Item Drops. The Map, Difficulty, Hardcore Mode, Mix Mode, and Wave Number affects loot quality. I'd also recommend the following:

You can add three more characters of yours in Split Screen to increase the amount of rewards you recieve and the amount of items that drop which improves your odds.

Thanks for the info. Also quick question, In order to get a pawnshot that's sup or ult, do I need to do King's game on NMHC in survival mode or in campaign?

i do believe pawn shots are only obtained in the campaign. having it on nightmare and hardcore will increase the chances of getting a supreme or ultimate.bring 4 of your own characters in to get 4 rewards per camapign run.

also probably the most important thing is that if you want to exclusively farm a particular reward like a pawn shots then use character that can only exclusively use that weapon ie a huntress or ranger (as opposed to a jester) as they have a 100% chance to drop the desired weapon at the end of a campaign run.

That is so. Just for clarification: The kind of character is only important in the last wave. That is you can build and fight with whomever it pleases you as long as you use a hunteress in the last wave.

This binding of reward to figur is only relevant for King's Game. In most other advanced maps rewards are independent from the kind of char.

You also might consider Tinkerer's Lab if you are looking for weapon for your hunteress. If you get a good Blaster it can even inflict more damage. Doing the campain in Insane is enough, Nightmare does not get you better results. But if you are looking for tower points the Pawn is as far as I can tell still better suited.

well there are other maps that are character specific for the rewards, all 5 of the shards maps are specific in their rewards,

The following maps are from what i can remember character specific:
alchemist laboritory, throne room, Summit, Mistymire forest, Moraggo desert town, Aquanos, Sky city, Crystalline dimension, Volcanic eruption, kings game,

The character level may not matter but I've noticed that the second time I play a map the drops seem weaker. Is the game programmed to punish grinding or is there a bonus for clearing a map the first time?

I'm a casual player so I just play on InHC, but there is an obvious change when I pass a map the first time and get a reward worth 150k but the next time it's 100k, then 20-60k and 90% of the drops are only worth few hundred and even Godlies are only 3-5k... I've done maps where I got 10 pieces of Amazing or Epic gear each worth 3-4 times what the best Legendary or Godly drops were.

This is why I usually don't bother trying NM, I still get utter crap drops and the game is too hard to enjoy.
