Online play PC and Mac

Can I play online with my friends that use PC?.

When a send a online play invitacion to my friend, this give us a error message that says that "Different region o level error".

I have played on my Mac with people that have PC. I did not bump into that error, is your friend in a different region than you? Were you trying to use DLC that he didn't have?

where are in the same city, I'm using the Humble indie Bundle 7 version of the game, and he is using a version buyed some months ago in steam.

This game have a way too much curiosity due to ranged / online play.
And thats not true, i was able to join every game without dlc.

Make sure you are using Gamespy instead of steam.
