you can always play on ranked you get steam achievemnts too.

if you still wish to play on open and have not played on ranked, then click the ranked button and on the character select screen the is a button called export to open or something like that, this will overwrite your open data with your ranked data.

also your lcoal save files for open is found here:
local disc\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\Binaries\Win32

the 2 files are:
DunDefHeroes.dun
DunDefHeroes.dun.bak

also if you do not wish to delete these files, you can delete mana tokens and items by starting up a level like deeper well, drop them onto the map floor and then exit to the main menu

I think he meant he wants to get a clean install of DD, removing all the mods he installed, but I have no idea how to do that, sadly :(

if you want to remove the mods, simply go to the workshop find the mod you downloaded and unsubscribe.

I did the same thing, i just bought pets upgraded them and sold them back, the return rate is really low. kept doing that till mana was gone. and ya just unsubscribe to the mod to get rid.

To delete DunDefHeroes.dun and DunDefHeroes.cun.bak is not enough
Steam Cloud will just restore those files next time you start DD

You also need to delete the files in Steam\userdata\steamID\appID\remote
This needs to be done while steam is online and cloud is enabled
(appID is the folder with 5 numbers)

Start DD after removing those files, and your game is like it's fresh out of the box :)

i downloaded a similar mod/map a while back that unlocked everything and leveled up my characters to maximum by fighting a bunch of monsters. i unsubscribed and deleted my characters but when i try to play multiplayer people are told they need that mod. how to i get rid of it? also i got the game and all dlc from the humble bundle but it stills try to sell me stuff so if i delete files will it remove all my dlc? (i own every dlc available but the game won't realize that) also i'm sorry if this in the wrong place or against the rules. i don't usually visit the steam community or post anything. please help me! oh ad was your problem fixed, grouchpanda?

I have the same problem, I used a mod and got way too much mana,(498mil) and I really wanna get rid of it.
When I drop it it only drops 100k at a time, and that's annoying. Please help.

This has helped for me! I had 300m mana and I wanted a complete fresh start. So here are the steps:
1. Turn Off Steam Cloud
2. Right Click On Dungeon Defenders in your Steam Library
3. Press "Delete All Local Content"
4. Go to your file explorer
5. Go to (Your Drive) /Program Files (x86) /Steak/ Userdata / (Your Steam ID / 65800 Than Delete the folder named "remote"
6. Go back to (Your Drive) /Program Files (x86) / Steam
7. This time search DunDef is the top right corner,and let it load completely
8. Delete Everything
9. Empty Your Recycle Bin (In Your Computer)
10. Reinstall Dungeon Defenders
11. Right Click On Dungeon Defenders In your Steam Library
12. Go down to Properties
12. Press "Local Files"
13. Press "Verify integrity of game cache"
14. Wait For it to finish than press OK
15. Launch Dungeon Defenders
16. It will say "These files conflict with the ones in the cloud" Than press Upload these files to the cloud
17. Turn Back On Steam Cloud (If you want)
18. Ta-Dah! You have a fresh copy of Dungeon Defenders!
