Linux version slow and white menu
Hello,

I'm running Arch linux 64 bit.
My CPU is intel core 2 duo T9900 (3GHZ).
My GPU is ATI Radeon mobility 4650 HD (Open GL 2.1 support).
The game runs fine and full speed on the same laptop with Windows boot.

With Linux it's hell slow.
If I wait until main menu displays I only see white background and some medded up fonts.
How can I fix this?

As I said above It runs fine under the same hardware with Windoes boot.
Other Games like Rochard anf Steel Storm also installed via Steam run nicely and full speed on Linux. It's just Dungeon Defenders thet doesn't work.

Had the same issue on Ubuntu, white screen, no mouse and crazy laggy, but when I ran the game with "primusrun" (from bumblebee for NVIDIA support (it enables optimus)) it worked just fine.
When that is said, I'm not sure if bumblebee will be the solution to your problem...but it seemes we both had/have issues with utilizing our video cards, so a driver issue perhaps?
Best I found was this: http://steamcommunity.com/app/65800/discussions/0/828925849092463915/ maybe it will get you closer to an answer ^_^

I found a solution for my problem:

Steam library > Dungeon Defenders
Do right click in the list of Games
Properties
Local Files
Verify integraty of local cache

That sloved the problem.
