Solo XP vs Group XP
So I am reading about XP and it says XP is shared among all group members.
So If I am playing solo will I get more XP for a particular wave Vs when I am in a group where it will get divided?

you get nearly identical xp. its more your actions in the run that matter more than the runners.
If you don't get hit you gain 33% xp.
If your crystal doesn't get hit you gain another 33% xp for a total of 66% XP.
If you hit a monster per round and don't use towers to hurt enemies you gain an additional 33% xp for 99% XP.
if you play on Hardcore you gain 30% xp.
That's a grand total bonus of 129% XP per round.
The Builder can't get the final 33% bonus so he gets less XP than if everyone else hit a mob and didn't get hit.
This carries over to if you switch your character from the builder to a new character. They won't get that 33% bonus.
You'd need to have not built a tower to get it as long as you don't play split screen as split screen players count as different people so the fact Player 1 built the towers doesn't effect Player 2-4.
That difference is about seven Tavern Defense Runs from 0 to 100.
The best way to level, and the way I level.
I have an Xbox Controller Emulator. I build the defenses on player 1 and then use Player 2-4 to hit a single mob and then hide for the rest of the round.
This grants me about 44M XP per NMHC Tavern Defense run.
If I didn't do this I gain about 33M XP and that minor difference saves me 7 runs bringing the total from 0-100 to 25 runs.
It's important to note Summoners can not get the 33% bonus I listed so if I did level a summoner again I'd use him as the same player slot as the builder was.
So the Summoner exclusively has no option but to run Tavern Defense 33 times.
EDIT: I stand corrected, Summoners CAN get the bonus from DPS pets!

can't a Summoner get the 33% bonus if a pet deals damage - i think they can

wall of text^^^ more players is more mobs more mobs is more exp per wave. end of wave bonus exp is dont take damage, use only weapons, core takes no damage. if you are the builder u loose out on use only weapons.

Avous / Road / and NoonKnight - now also could you please explain to this and other Newbie players how the mana split works so they can read and perhaps understand why they could get the Kick for looting! Thank you in advance.

to date is it faster to xp on challanges, survival, or campeings?

campains is fastest granted ur not being hit crystal is safe and u dont build with the char u lvling

Yes, on paper, assuming you can do everything.
Usually people are not capable of everything and thus end up learning that survival (and even purestrat) is a better choice for their gear levels + it relieves them of the build timer pressure.
Challenges are the worst by a long shot.
campaign HC insane glitterhelm
campaign HC hard/insane tavern defensen (skip the bosses)
campaign HC hard/insane tinkerers lab
Misty and aquanos. Glitter is not on the list, since the crystals are so far apart you cant get to a troublespot in time (soloing).
The fastest xp is NMHC tavern defense, campaign. If you are a fast builder and skip the bossfight, then chaining this map is better than running it on survival mode.
A much easier alternative: survival HC servants quarters, it gives much better xp than the other original maps.
Tinkerers lab (not lab assault) deserves a mention. It is as good as or better XP than Tavern Defense, but as you may have learned its a pain to build for and the framerate is abysmal.
Wherever i mentioned tavern defense, you could do tinkers instead for better results and blaster rifle reward.
Concerning purestrat mode:
As a rule of thumb, doing NM purestrat anything gives worse XP than insane HC survival on the same map. Plus the drops and pets will be far worse than on survival.
