DD community makes me sick
Anything past hard is so unfriedly reminds me of WoW raids. You either have the gear or get kicked. So much for trying to help players.

well ppl dont like it when others just sit in games and leach

What? Are we playing the same game? People keep joining my games with ridiculous gear and insist on powering through stages instead of making it a challenge. The only way I could actually get some NMHC games in without some high level/uber geared person offering to finish the stage for me was to play the game alone...

I've been constantly kicking players who are too geared out of my games because I've been offered TOO MUCH help. This is the exact opposite of WoW.

edit: There are loads of "up and rep" games that you can join if you want free exp/items. Many players welcome others to just sit in games and leech as long as you help repair and upgrade.

You should see how it looks from the other side I host a games let in under geared players and what do they do ? They do nothing they fix nothing repair nothing hide behind my defenses or worst on the crystal and attract mobs to it the only time they move is when the wave is over to check out the drops and loot Tell them to start fixing and repairing or you will kick them and you will find 1 has gone afk the others will up one tower only one level in an entire wave with mana falling all around them

i consistently run survivals to gear people mostly misty waves 22-30 but seriously alot of people dont bother upgrading or repairing and thats the one of 2 requirments i have in the games i make. i give people doors and say anything drops from this door is yours dont move to other doors and upgrade everything. misty makes it painfully obvious when people are loot whoring other doors. on rare occasions do i get groups who acctually talk out drops and trade when others find things they need. but even sporting 3500-4k stats on my builders towers still need up/rep or we fail and i cant cover all maps by my self. till newbs learn this they get booted and fast.

i'll play. i'm not a fan of getting boosted either. solo'd most of the vanilla game offline on hard, insane was getting a bit, well insane, so currently levelling a stable of ranked toons to 70 so i can get an equally geared partner or two to help (but still leaving something of a challenge)

EDIT: got all the dlc now too

Kinda have to agree with the OP. Warning, I only play on the TE server, not the 'open' stuff.

I have 5 characters in the 70-72range (EV, hunt, summon, squire, monk) and a apprentice at 61.
Can solo run throneroom hard survival HC to wave 16 and have completed the original campaign on insane and fairly easily solo run glitter on hard HC and completed misty+moraggo+aqua on easy alone.

But now I am stuck. Any crystalline dimension game i enter, get kicked almost before saying hi. Get kicked on almost any eternia shards map when it is not on easy.
Basically, the 'lowbies' dont want my chars (for being too high) and those who i *ought* to be playing alongside seem to not exist.
And usually instaboot if you enter a game where the host is 74+. If they don't want company, then they should damn well make their game hidden and set the level-to-enter limit very high.

Quite frankly it feels like the only, and depressing, option is grinding glitter until they are all 74 and then grind survival throneroom for mana to waste in Myth shops, then grind even more to actually bring those barely mediocre myths up to a useful level. As is, my hunters godly flaming undertaker racks up 35k dps (5k hits, 7 rof, and penetrates) on the tavern dummy after a few million in upgrading and the EV runs with a higher dps minigun (sucks to lack penetration though).

The myths i've seen in shops dont even come close to that before (massive) upgrading... and usually come with a huge minus on at least 1 stat.

It effin sucks.

join a tavern defence on nm free exp

I will gladly run any map / any difficulty, just send me a message. I don't kick people unless I am waiting for other people to join, or they are afk. I do NOT support afkers, you can sit with steam backdrop up, surfing the web and still rep / up, so.... no excuses.

If you need a hand, I will gladly run any map, save for nmhc sky city (can't beat that stupid boss.. lol)

if you want to leech then join a power level game but it is not unreasonable to kick someone undergeared especially if they do annoying things such as build rubbish towers or take loot that people have earned. Personally I clearly label games and usually host no random kick servers which fill up quickly so try creating your own high level server called boost please or something like that.
Softspokenman Apr 27, 2013 @ 10:57pm
lol almost all my game are labeled "no level 75+ no looters up+repair " it makes no difference
still I get level 92 and the willfully useless joining

Honestly, some of the fun of this game is finding ways of getting to the content. For instance, your going from hard survivals right into Crystalline Dimension isn't going to work at all. You'll get your teeth kicked in, you won't contribute anything, and you are most likely just making the game harder for the host due to the increased mob spawn.

Instead of that, perhaps you should try running some of the other maps that you on insane to get some decent godly gear. Once you have some alright gear (it won't be great) and you hit 74, you might have to start failing at a map for a while to loot chests and the occasional mythic. But this is a good thing.

First, failing at it a bit is going to teach you some build strategies. Second, regardless if you are failing at it, you will be getting money, experience, and occasionally upgraded eq. With the money you earn, hit the shops and buy some gear. You can get some boss gear from peeps with very little investment. Secondly, try joining games that aren't so far over your head. As people have suggested in the forum, people do allow lowbies in their games if you abide by their rules. Just because someone kicks you out the hardest content in the game doesn't mean that you shouldn't be able to find help. Good luck though, its a great game once you invest a little more time into it.

Been at this game for 3 weeks and love it, and I have a few lvl 74 characters, but I'm looking for someone to run through a survival 30 levels on nightmare using nothing but summoners after everything is built, because that way the only thing that drops is armor. Trying to get good armor with good stats, so if anyone wants to team up to do this, add me. Ill be on all night tonight, Mon and Tues.

I've found the people very friendly and helpful since I moved to Ranked. I get kicked sometimes without warning and for no reason, despite upping and repping adding dps/etc.... but thats rare.

I've found some really helpful and generous people when i started on ranked, and it's been a pleasure.
