So, I decided to make a post on here to call out those who are cheating / hacking.

I recently played a game with http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198060244134/, who clearly had hacked gear.

I've included a screenshot, just so everyone can see.

Please... Call em out if you see people hacking / using hacked gear. Please post them on here, and please report them to Trendy. Doing these things will result in a much better community!!!

Lol ive seen gear like that before I dont get hackers they put the most insane values its painfully obvious you would think they would put legit stats for the tier of gear they hacked.

I have trouble understanding this.. I have only played with friends, and couldn't care less about other people's stats on their gear. It's not an MMO, it's not PvP. Why not just leave his lobby (or kick him if it's yours) and be done with it? Why are you so butthurt about someones numbers being higher than yours through false methods?

Why aren't people just having fun by themselves?

It was actually pvp that caused me to even take consideration and check his stats. It wasn't until i got hit for 32mil in 1 shot that i even took notice. It's ranked servers and Trendy is suppose to take care of it. Why wouldn't you report them so that the servers are more stable and less hackers?

Dunno why others hack to begin with and why some don't care. By hacking, all the challenge is gone, as well as hunting and growth... so what's the point in playing for that hacker? Goes for any game that one hacks in. Might as well watch a movie or play a game where you just click in one spot over and over, since it seems they want a cake walk.

As for those who don't seem to care to have someone who is way higher level or hacks while in a co-op game. Why? They enjoy their game being easy as well? I mean the game is easy enough on medium and even hard with a team of same levels.

So eh yeah I dunno. I recently got into this game because of the Humble Bundle and I enjoy it very much. Just a shame it feels Trendy hasn't bothered to fix a few things or add features that should be in there such as a max level allowed to join. And with Dungeon Defenders 2 I doubt they will even bother, more now than ever.

Here's my opinion: As long as hackers don't enter pvp with legit players, or competitions with legit players or anything where a legit player has to compete with the hacked player. They can go on their merry way.

I don't see why people are obsessed with having them banned. Just kick them from your games if you don't like it. There is no negative implication for you whatsoever that hackers "exist" within the game.

Except if you join a players afk shop, and then go to purchase an item, only to realize it is hacked. Sometimes its very difficult to tell if an item is hacked, some of the hackers are very clever in this manner, others like the one I posted originally, just don't seem to care. By the obvious 9mil ups on his weapon. I believe they are ruining the community for us all, so yes I do believe having them banned from ranked is the only way.

Well I think it's a little late for that, It's not like hackers have suddenly seen a huge spike in numbers. They've been prolific for a very long time.

Any damage that could have been done to the economy has already been done and with Dungeon Defenders 2 around the corner I'd much prefer trendy to focus on preventing the same thing happening there than waste time with this game.

Admit it the majority of people on this game are likely to switch to number 2 and as I said any damage that cheating was likely to cause to the economy has already been done, it won't get any worse.

I may not play 2 at all we will see if it has a crappy network like this one and they have summoner barb and ev in it. And recharge you for those heros dlc i likely wont play dungeon defenders 2.

with the "free to play" concept of Dungeon Defenders 2, it is still very likely that people will not migrate to that game. The idea of letting these people hack and continue to hack, because well "the damage has been done" is really unacceptable in my mind. I will not continue to allow those who hack to play on ranked without reprocussions. If i see anyone with hacked gear, they will be screenshotted and reported to Trendy. I throughly encourage everyone else to do the same.

I hope they'll make dd2 servers control all the things all the time.

example of server controlled: a save file is downloaded to bring the client up to speed with the heroes and items. when the player upgrades an item, the input is relayed to server and server does the upgrade. apply this concept to all the other things in the game.

Sadly most things are client based in dd1 which is why so many hackers are able to do it =/

hacking damages the game, look at the score tables when you enter the map, a few dudes played with level 9 cahrs and made 6 billion points and endet the map on nm hc in 19 sec thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, also its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when people hack cause why farm? Open is for mod gear , ranked is supposed to be fair and when i think iam not palying a fair game then maybe i should begin to hack, cause iam one of the legit players who know how good and perfekt gear should look. This thought is implementet through the fact hackers are around, when we where save from them i wouldnt even think about it.
