Is it me or has the community pretty much died on this game?
When I search for a game I see less than 20 servers going. This was a few days ago at around 3pm in London. I remember when there were so many more players and games going, but it seems that even with the game on the Humble Weekly Sale, that the community has pretty much disappeared.

Is the community still active on this game?

Well, it is pretty random. Sometimes there's more, sometimes there's less. Private games are still or even more the go-to for nightmare. The humble-bundle have added more needy "I need good gear/ Lvl me plx" players. The new content like Tinkerer's Lab is impossible to complete with noobs around, so many more seasoned players have more or less permanently gone private.

The other problem is that Trendy has stopped adding new content. So quite a few players have moved to Open, where they can play around with new maps. But that's more or less only my opinion.

If you go to the trendy-forums you will find lots of active Event groups and players.

Thanks man. I used to play this game alot when Summoner first came out. Community was ♥♥♥♥ing beautiful on this game. I remember boosting all my Alts on Glitterhelm Caverns on Insane with Hardcore mode on lol.

I've been looking to complete the new Tinkerer's Lab content with my Lvl 77 Tower Mage. Or even do the anniversary content. I'll check out the trendy forums since you mentioned it.

Thanks again!

'Tower Mage'! - :0

Yeh the best players are now private and most regulars, such as myself, are no longer regulars due to the issues of 'level me plox' hosts/ game joiners.

R.I.P. old community.

Yeh, pretty much, from what I've seen. :( I will seriously miss this game, but with hardly anyone online, there's just little to pull me to it, anymore. I used to really enjoy helping people, meeting people, trading, etc. RIP, indeed.

Don't let that dissuade you. If you have a few friends playing with you, it is awesome. But don't expect too much from public games.

I played this game for 200+ hrs. Had a lot of fun with it. What made me quit playing was the insane amout of hacking going on and people selling hacked items for real money. Really killed it for me.

Well 9k is the highest you can get with legit Gear.

First time i played this Game for around 300h and then took a Break. Then i played another 200h and quitet, cause its too easy.
But if someone needs Help with Level, getting Mana or Gear just add me.

I played near 700 hours like last year, the community was awesome on the trendy website, then I completed the game and got kinda bored :/

I loved this game for a long time- I put in tons of hours, for me at least (the only game comparable in terms of time spent has been Oblivion or Fallout, and theyre time suckers) but I absolutely HATE the XP wall. There is an obscenely huge gap between Insane and Nightmare! If i can complete Glitthelm caves on insane/hardcore but can't touch Nightmare Deeper Well? The game becomes such a gear grind and the actual 'strategy' of tower placement means nothing compared to the raw damage you deal-AND YOU CAN'T EFFECTIVELY GET GEAR TO PLAY NIGHTMARE WITHOUT PLAYING NIGHTMARE!

That may not be why everyone left, but that's why I am more or less finished with it. I adored it for fun co-op through the first 60-70 levels...but when you hit that wall, theres just nowhere to go
Behemoth+ Dec 8, 2013 @ 5:14am
I didn't hit this 'Wall'..Never really had an issue. You dont NEED a ton of stats just need to have a certain ammount in each across the board. Then the towers combined with multiple chars you can easily breeze it.
The Fantastic Llamaboy Dec 8, 2013 @ 7:01am
I have a rather strong tower Countess and a very resilient DPS jester, both with maxed godly gear-with set bonus and specced with them in mind-and I can't make it through the first wave of Nightmare.

Maybe if I get boosted itd be more playable, but this is a huge departure from the first 60-70 levels, where again actual strategy mattered rather than just maxing gear. It isn't as much a game as it is an arms race once you hit nightmare
Behemoth+ Dec 8, 2013 @ 7:16am
I may have some gear sets knocking about
