Level 42.. Which DLC Do i buy first.. Maps or characters?

Been playing the game for a week now and ive just started playing the base game maps on 'hard'. I was going to wait for the sale before i bought DLC however, just sold aload of cards and a few other items and have £5 to waste :D Which dlc should i buy first? I notice alot of people saying things like "Get this map because you can farm exp easily" or "get this map because theres a bug". However what if you just want to play for fun? Are all maps for all levels? Would it be better to buy new characters rather than maps at this point? Any advice you can give would be welcomed. :D

if u just want fun i would advice buying a character instead of a map since u can play 1 character alot longer than 1 map and u can usaly join in on most dlc maps

It's a bit hard to say what you should do as you are not very close to nightmare mode, which to me is the best part of the game :) If you can, buy the complete lost eternia shards dlc to unlock nightmare mode. If you can't, then I would suggest getting the Summoner dlc and maybe also Series EV DLC. These new characters will help you a lot in the end game, and summoner is a blast to play anyways :) Jester is fun too (wheel of fortuna, good hp, fast upgrader and movement speed, can use all weapons...) if you just want to stress the fun side of the game :)

I played my first character with my friends to lvl 74 by doing the basic campaign maps. After that I got the eternia shards pack and went to nightmare. I leveled other builder toons for me as fast as I could by building defences with my main character and then swithing to the new toon to get xp for it. I really did not want to play the basic maps long with new toons to level them up as I had already been there and done it once.

I would recommend getting a character before getting a new map. New characters are much more useful than maps, because having different characters means you can summon different traps. As ralphgod said, characters are also more fun than maps. They'll last you much longer than one map will.

depends a summoner is only for towers well also for dps if u want to afk some stuff but mainly towers
a jester is only for dps and repairing
barb also only for dps just depends on what u like to have

I like DPS... but i also like towers.. but which is better..only one way to find out... FIGHHHHHT!!! :D.... if your not from the Uk you may not get that :).. lol
Hmmmmm Its such a hard choice. I can only get one :'( lol Well my squire (level 42) is pure towers.. so i MAY go for dps..

Characters first, EV series, summoner are the main two needed for building, and both can be adjusted for DPS / towers / hybrids (both).

Series EV might then be your choice. EV has best walls, and buff beams are most likely the best towers in the game. You can use mage and huntress weapons on ev and ev has two weapon slots. With EV you can go dps or tower, or both :)

EV you have to buy the full set in one go dont you?? At the moment its £10 isnt it? :'(Lol bit out my price range. I spent a bit too much at Xmas on steam.. and promised my g/f i wouldn't buy anything untill easter!... :) That's why i am selling cards and TF2 stuff ;)

UPDATE: I managed to find a foil card and sell it for £2... i am now upto 9.79p lol so im guessing its gunna be a character and a map pack :D
