Got kicked

Ello guys,

Im a new player in dungeon defenders, finished the first part and wanted to play online, im a level 22 adept and have 3 more charcters that are levelling up (monk, huntress and for the live of me, can not recall the last one omg)
Anyways, I wanted to join a game, easy mode with a sorceror of level 17, Before I could even ask what charcter he wanted me to play I got kicked, Can anyone tell me why that is? I hosted a game myself after that and peeps joined in, I let them because it was great fun, had to play one map only because in a little while im off to work,
If anyone can give me pointers as how to play online or not to get kicked Id be very gratefull,

Ah ok Egghunter, thx for the reply, shame though, but will host more games myself then, no rules just fun, stupid that I can't talk to the people joining my game. i can not find the key to write messages to them ingame

Thx for the replies guys, I will host my own game then to stay clear of kick ready players, for the ingame chat I will try the TAB key Fastfire, I just can't find any option in the settings for this feature,only VOIP settings but that is unusable most of the time because of the kids :)

go into your steam folder Steam>(your name here)>SteamApps>common>Dungeon Defenders>Binaries and run DunDefConfig.exe you can change things there

Yup that worked, it was indeed the TAB key, that has now been changed aswell as some other keybindings, ty very much Softspokeman and Fastfire!!

I'm always opened to play with anyone. But like the others said, they kick other players for the fun of it just to get the others mad. I love playing with others, because it makes it so much fun.

They will kick you for anything don't take it to heart you are better off playing with people you know or setting up your own games.I never used to kick anyone i used to feel bad about it after we all started at the bottom.It gets easier the higher your level i've not played for months tbh but when i started out i got kicked all the time i put 1500 hrs into this one of the best games i've ever played.

yeah I agree, in the beginning it was very hard but now im doing almost ok lol. Need a lot more insight as to how things work,
A pitty that every single time I host a game, the game disconnects after the first wave....

Yeah the constant disconnects got on my nerves as well,especially when you where doing a survival and it kicked you on wave 22 so infuriating.
