Disconnected all the time...
Yesterday a friend and me wanted to play Dungeon Defenders after a long time. We created a character and lost the network connection. OK, my Steam friendslist was down too, I think that was the problem.
After we start playing the game and did 2 levels, in the last wave we lost connection again... without any obviously Steam issues.
We left the game and would try it tommorow. Now I was trying to farm some XP, but after 5 minutes I lost connection again.

So, whats the problem? Are the Trendy Net Servers are unstable, is it my connection or is it Steam? Usually I don't have any internet issues. So, this is very depressing and if it its go on we have to look for another game.

It could be your connection - but it is usually Steam updating or Trendy changing servers and several times a day it seems to disconnect. If you have many items going at once and your router streams to the TV or another device or something a lot of bandwidth is suddendly tied up and your computer drops and dc. Also at peak times of the day your cable provider has rushes and not enough bandwidth in the lines so you loose connection. All possible but annoying. It is a part of gaming online. laugh and move on. You could try allocating more of your router's bandwidth to your computer that might help.

we crashed yester day to then we completely logged out of steam then back in and it worked fine for the next 4 hours. if you havent logged out then back in it might let the updates take affect.

Steam has been getting DDoS'd of late, and you will get forced offline due to authentication on the backend not being able to communicate.

OK, thank you guys for your information. I will try to keep playing and possibly check my router performance.

Well that explains something. Been having issues for the last 2 weeks. To put it mildy it is infuriating when it happens on a survival run... so much wasted time :(

Sometimes its just a flicker off and on, in less time than it takes for alt-tab to complete, but that is enough, DD instantly kills your session.
