You can make a 4 DU buff near the boss and convert the 1 DU to a reflection beam in front of the minions. Dont go near the crystals or the ogres might aggro to you and hit the crystals too. For me this works just fine with 1-4 toons. The obsidian weapon drop is random, so you dont need to be on a specific class to get certain obsidian weapon at the end.
All auras are ensnare/elec/str except boss area which also gets a heal.
West has gas/inferno/gas spread out across the minions.
The minions there are in almost like a dog bone pattern - 2A/1S/1M/1M/1S/2A on top of a 6 DU BB which buffs everything there.
NE has a 4 DU BB with 2A/1S/1M on it which is positioned as close to the top of the stairs and as close to the water as possible. All the copter ogres generally get stuck on that crystal so the minions can focus on ogres coming from north and then work on the copter ogres.
Boss area gets a 5DU BB with 3A/1S/1M, usually I also like to put a reflect near the tree for afk characters.
Unfortunately I didn't start doing this until my ev and summoner were already in the 3ks however nothing ever really hits red during combat so I would assume 1.8-2k should suffice. If NE has problems, you can try adding one of the archers from boss there or just maintain/rep without attacking anything there as you don't want to accidentally aggro.
