Thanks, probably i'll go with huntress.
I am glad you guys keep the dungeon defenders forum active, thanks a lot!
Who can be the best ranged dps for me? (will slaying bosses, killing mobs, upgrading towers etc. i'll use that char after my tower build done, barbarian is kinda slow for those all)
Grounded Bosses - Monk (dps pet), Barb (cat + monk boost if possible)
Non-Stationary Bosses - Ranger/Huntress, Jester
Mobs (I'll assume Ogres here) - Monk (dps pet), Barb (cat + monk boost if possible)
Mobs (trash mobs) - Any class that's properly geared
Tower upgrade - Jester (Genie + Lupin Bow or equivalent)
If I had to pick an all rounder to use throughout the build/combat phase I'd go with Jester. High HP base, can use any weapon type, can swap between 2 weapons, upgrade/repair speed is fast, Wheel rolling is great for a hit to hp on all enemies/hp repair on everything yours (including yourself) on the field/killing off a % of enemies. There are better options in each slot, but the fact that you can do all these as one char is quite valuable.
Beyond that Huntress (gas traps) is practically essential for some maps, and only after that Squire (harpoon) is handy for a couple.
Some bosses need DPS; the ones that don't can be taken out by a Jester with a gun easily enough. For the ones that do the general recommendations are a Barbarian or sticking a mega chicken on the Monk (who has by far the best pet strength multiplier), though if you do that you might want to make a second Monk so one can focus on tower stats and the other can pump hero damage to make the chicken stronger.
