A little late to the party
I bought this game today and thought that it would be fun to CO-OP with people like in Orcs Must Die. I am in the first levels, but I feel the fun is ruined when people who have obviously completed the game join or lvl 1 characters with weapons that deal 54,000. Isn't there a way to put a level cap instead of a minimum level requirement? I want to play with people, but I also want to feel that the battle is fair vs the CPU and my team.

nope but you can kick them until you get burned out and run friends only or solo

no idea why you bought this when dungeon defenders eternity is exactly the same but has all the dlc's, NO CHEATERS, more content than this, AND more players.

Thats because DDE is having a boatload of issues and bugs that they need to fix. They also need to polish the game's progression.

Currently I'd recommend DD1 over DDE.

Advised is to host a private game and play solo if u dont want any kinds of higher levels joining ur games. Also joining certain steamgroups could get u into the chat and make a premade group from there.

Tell that to Summoner players, and see just how "exactly" the same DDE is compared to DD1.

dde is a mess and plays like a beta game
as of yet there is no proof to back up the NO CHEATERS claim

here is a pic of some modded or glitched gear from dde

What level are you now

I'm just like you, and prefer a challenge.

Hi! Just level 29-30. I think I'm also in the last campaign stage. The top of the castle.
Feel free to add me.

DD was great but had an awful online community, it is filled with hacked items and players, and if you try to join games you'll get kicked until you punch through your monitor from frustration. DDE is still fresh and people are leveling up characters all over. You can get it on sale since you own the original DD. DDE prevents ninja looting, you get your own chests per build phase, doesnt have the ability to kick so you can freely join open games. It's a much better game, and with all the updates since launch is shaping up to be a great remake of the original, plus it has most of the best DLC from the first.
